I’m a GP and it’s not just about covid cases and deaths. Most of my patients problems are about mental health, alcohol, domestic violence and suicide. Does that not matter?

@MpVilliers we got our council tax bill today in the post. Taxes have gone up and my husband has lost his job due to covid. Struggling to pay bills, mortgage and keep afloat on my NHS training salary. How is this fair? No wonder mental health is worsening in the Uk. @RishiSunak

@RishiSunak it’s great that businesses get another free boosting grant this year. What about those who have already been made redundant? Lost our main income and hubbie redundant, now I have to pay more tax in future yrs for these business grants🤮

@Shah842Niraj @DrAmirKhanGP By saying your not booking a holiday your advocating not going on holiday. As a GP I am seeing more and more mental health problems, people are fed up and need a break if and when safe, which will likely be summertime. So many have lost their jobs in the travel sector.

@DrAmirKhanGP That’s great Dr. I came from not well off family too, worked my bollocks off in a north London state school to become an airline pilot and land my dream job after years of hard work only to loose it. People don’t go abroad just for holiday.

Been asked if I’m booking a summer holiday this year Growing up working class I didn’t have an expectation of going away abroad each summer, I generally worked I much prefer the focus to be on safely opening schools,improving NHS wait times, supporting businesses to open safely

@geol_uk @ScotsSaboteur @devisridhar Ummm no, was it him who was speaking about unicorns and birthday parties? He’s being real. Everyday most patients I see have mental health issues worsened by lockdown. As a nation we need to start thinking more about the wider implications
