At @AIMtoLearn listening to state literacy director for Mississippi DOE. There is absolutely no miracle. This is hard and courageous work done by knowledgeable educators.

I get heated when newspapers and politicians refer to improved reading in MS as the "Mississippi Miracle". It's straight from the slop-trough of disconnected elitism. The only miracle is they'd rather let kids fail than take guidance from "those people". "Hello", California.
