@SholaMos1 She really should keep quiet about race. When she makes these statements she reveals more than she realizes.
English

Kemi Badenoch embodies anti-blackness with her full coonastic chest. This shameless false equivalence of how Black British (Christians, Jews, Muslims etc) are treated versus White British Jews exemplifies it to a Tee. If only Black British were treated like White British Jews our lived experiences would be vastly improved.

@cathynewman Sorry. Can't watch your programme.
At 7.00pm on weekdays, I have to watch #Channel4News

This seems vindictive, with no empathy for student's situation. Hasn't anyone in #HomeOffice, #CoventryUniversity or #OfficeforStudents had experience of banks transferring funds? International wire transfers? Time differences in wire transfers? theguardian.com/education/2026…

@peterfrankopan One has got to demonstrate one's priorities. Time is limited!

@ZoeJardiniere There are so many reasons for why the King should not go, but we are in the world of Keir Starmer. He rejected suggestions that Trump's 2nd visit should have been delayed Presumably he's rejected similar advice now.
English

Should we, maybe, not be sending our king as some kind of court jester on a state visit to entertain Trump in April, dyou think?
Middle East Eye@MiddleEastEye
“Charles III might be the Muslim monarch of England.” In an interview with Piers Morgan, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani claimed that King Charles might become a “Muslim monarch” and suggested that Islam is overtaking England

@skygillian @SkyNews @albieamankona @queenchristina_ @skygillian British people who have moved to Dubai are #immigrants, often #economicmigrants.
Alternatively, people moving Pakistan to live in UK should be described as #expats, if you prefer this term.
Why isn't the same term used for both groups?
English

@implausibleblog Poor dear!
But he did get a knighthood for all the times he has appeared on TV on behalf of the Tory party denying that racism exist. He's put a lot of effort into this.

@andytwelves It is so parochially British to see multilingualism as a disadvantage. In other countries, ability to speak several languages is not only desirable but also valuable.
Empire defenders like Goodwin find it desirable to shout in English at foreigners.
English

Claim 2: “In 2019, BBC West Midlands highlighted schools where children speak more than thirty different languages, making normal teaching almost possible. Teachers often feel they are no longer running a school but a translation service.”
Reality: I cannot find any evidence of BBC West Midlands writing this story at all. There is an article about a primary school from the Metro in 2021: metro.co.uk/2021/06/24/bir…
BBC West Midlands does not exist, it’s BBC Midlands.

EXC: .@GoodwinMJ’s new book “Suicide of a Nation: Immigration, Islam, Identity” is out now, and I’m only 5 chapters in and have found a huge amount of what appears to be false quotes and basic misinterpretations of data, that appear to be AI hallucinations.
Matthew, can you explain the claims you made in the book that I’ve outlined in the below thread?

English

@implausibleblog It's a good thing that @Keir_Starmer is not as immature and childish as Trump because really he should reply to the toddler US President by taking his ball home.
"I won't let you use my toys if you are mean to me!"
English

President Trump criticising Keir Starmer and the UK,
"This never happened before"
"They were, really, pretty much, our first ally all over the world"
"They didn't want us to use the island, for some reason they gave up rights to it"
"I was really surprised at the UK to be honest with you"
"They should have acted a lot faster"
Journalist, "Have you spoken to their prime minister?"
President Trump, "I have. They should have acted a lot faster"
English

The problem with @NJ_Timothy's view that Islam 'challenges' Christianity is that he appears not to understand the basic tenets of Christianity. You know, 'only one God' and all that stuff. Maybe he should leave Muslims alone and try reading a Bible.

Don't let facts get in the way of bigotry. It's embarrassing to watch Kemi Badenoch tied in knots trying to conceal her anti-Muslim racism.

@docrussjackson How would listeners react to what this man says if he spoke in a less affected accent?
He really is ignorant about a remarkable range of topics.

Pathetic pompous prat, Jacob Rees-Mogg, attacks Labour for using existing powers under Section 40 of the Pensions Act to direct private pension fund investments.
This has nothing to do with the State Pension, which is funded from the NI Fund on a pay as you go basis. Today's workers and employers NI contributions pay today's pensioners, accounting for about 95% of the fund.
Yet Rees-Mogg has long pushed for lower taxes, including strongly opposing the 2021 NI rise for social care, which he called a broken manifesto promise, and supporting the 2023-24 employee NI cuts that removed £billions from the NI Fund and raised questions about State Pension funding.
He can't credibly claim that Labour wants to 'pinch your pension' while championing policies that shrink the very revenue stream that pays it, especially after he has suggested raising the State Pension age to 72!
Fecking hypocrite.
Jacob Rees-Mogg@Jacob_Rees_Mogg
Labour wants to pinch your pension. Watch now:

@implausibleblog I recall that the pro-Brexit campaigners told us before the referendum that we wouldn't have to leave the customs union or single market if we voted to leave the EU. What happened?
English

BBC News at 10, "The Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan says Labour should promise to take the UK back into the European Union at the next general election"
Chris Mason, "He said Labour should advocate rejoining the EU at the next election"
"And the party should take the UK into the Customs Union and Single Market before the next general election"
"Sir Sadiq Khan implying that it may not be necessary to have a referendum, and a vote for Labour to win could be enough to rejoin"
English

@MichaelRosenYes @spikedonline There are Jewish courts, Roman Catholic courts, etc.
Bigotry is so often accompanied by spectacular ignorance.
English

@spikedonline Are there any other religious courts?
English

We need to talk about Sharia courts. For too long, a shadow justice system has been allowed to operate in the UK. Women and girls are invariably the victims. We must not tolerate parallel justice in the name of multiculturalism, says Stephen Sidney
