It’s very difficult for some to accept that the people of Northern Ireland do not want to tear up the constitution. They want the best possible Northern Ireland and not a dangerous leap into the dark.

@JamieBrysonLLB Zealot is a negative word (with anti-Semitic origins). Interestingly the Irish word, díograiseoir, has a much more positive connotation as someone who is enthusiastic with a fervent love for some cause without negative reference to a people fighting to overthrow Roman occupiers.

British policies resulted in the starvation of millions. And the first murders in the Troubles were started by British terrorists who killed the most civilians.

@Scott85602334 @chrisadonnelly Problem for pro-UK is it’s already under 50% and declining, while the pro-UI are in younger demos about to become voting age. So 41% is a strong base considering what is in store and there appears very little appetite in hardline Unionism to even accommodate Irish culture.

It is my understanding Ireland is about to make a motion to the European body governing soccer to ban Israel from playing in European soccer tournaments.   Ireland and others would be punishing the Jewish people 80 years after the Holocaust because they choose to fight back against terrorist groups who wish to kill all the Jews. Hamas started this war. Hamas has put civilians at risk to continue this war. And Hamas is a radical Islamic terrorist group dedicated to the destruction of Israel. @Rebel44CZ @Andy_Kavanagh It follows OECD rules. There’s no law requiring a country to be a high tax economy. Every country in Europe could offer 15% corp tax. Of course Ireland is also the most educated and free, and tech companies decided to HQ here. That helps too.
