I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about receiving mail in ballots for deceased family members or people that no longer live at that address. Mainly complaints but no constructive actions that a citizen can individually perform. Here are two practical things that we can do individually to help cleanup our voter rolls: 1. Check the county voter rolls for deceased family members. If they are present, submit a request for removal, along with a death certificate. 2. Most people have moved multiple times since registering to vote for the first time. Check to see if you’re still on the old precinct voter rolls based on previous locations where you have lived. If inaccurate, submit a request for removal. Sometimes you have to be persistent and validate your removal. Especially in blue areas. It once took me a year and a half to be removed from a county voter roll when I moved from Washington state.

That which doesn’t unite us must be cast asunder. Diversity hates adversity. So be it’s sworn adversary. Forever. We are Americans. The mutts of the world. But when the storm comes, we lock shields as one people and dare the heavens to break them.
