Following the recent escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, the Magen David Adom @Mdais has mobilized staff and volunteers across the country. Teams are treating and evacuating affected people to hospitals and transferring bedridden and ventilated patients to protected locations.

It has been reported that several relief posts and warehouses belonging to the Iranian Red Crescent as well as Red Crescent facilities have sustained significant damage due to the escalating hostilities in the Middle East. Communities on all sides are already paying a heavy price, with deaths and injuries, and damage to homes, schools, hospitals, and other vital civilian infrastructure. These and all Red Cross Red Crescent personnel and infrastructures must be protected during this challenging time.

The @IFRC has launched an emergency appeal to support the Malagasy Red Cross Society @MadaRedCross in providing life-saving assistance after back-to-back cyclones tore through Madagascar in just ten days. The storms killed dozens of people and affected more than 450,000. Homes, schools, health facilities and livelihoods have been destroyed, and rising floodwaters are increasing the risk of disease outbreaks, leaving thousands of families without shelter or basic services.
