Homeless people are using dogs to test drugs for them on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California.
Non-profit group Starts With One Today says dogs are being abused, thrown away, sold for drugs, neglected, and fed drugs to make sure there is no fentanyl.
Animal advocates are ripping Mayor Karen Bass and other elected officials for not taking enough action.
“We’re coming out here, risking our lives to help these dogs with no support from the government,” said volunteer Joey Tuccio.

NEW: Tanner Horner, who pleaded guilty to murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, seen on camera reacting to a woman telling him that a "seven-year-old kid" had been kidnapped.
During the trial today, jurors broke down in tears after audio footage was played of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty."
Athena repeatedly asked for her mother.
"Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported.
Jurors were also shown footage (below) of Horner being stopped while trying to deliver packages.
He was told by a woman that the road was blocked off because a "seven-year-old kid" had been kidnapped.
"Are you serious?" Horner said.
Give this man the death penalty.

The violence used by NYPD officers in this video is extremely disturbing and unacceptable. Officers should never treat a person this way. The NYPD is conducting a full investigation into this incident.

JUST IN: Former staffer of Eric Swalwell says he s*xually assaulted her twice, says she woke up in his bed with no clothes on. The first incident reportedly took place in 2019. Swalwell has been married since 2016. The woman says she was hired at the age of 21. At one point in 2019, Swalwell pulled out his pen*s and asked her to perform oral s*x on him. She did so in a parking lot, according to the SF Chronicle. Later that same year, the former staffer says she was invited out for drinks with Swalwell. She says she became so intoxicated that she does not remember the rest of the night. She claims she woke up with no clothes on in Swalwell's hotel bed and claims she could feel "the effect of vag*nal intercourse," according to the SF Chronicle. In April of 2024, the woman, who did not work for Swalwell at this time, attended a charity gala where Swalwell was present. The woman says she became "inebriated" while getting drinks with him after and can barely remember the night. She says she told him "no" as he forced himself on her. The woman says she was s*xually assaulted by Swalwell. She says she "blacked out" but "woke up once during it and even told him to stop at one point." The woman's friend and then-boyfriend say she told them about the alleged assault the next day. Swalwell has denied the accusations and has since sent a cease-and-desist letter.
