He shouldn't feel bad or set back by this. Being sober is more than just being substance free. There's a lot of people who are substance free, but aren't sober. Sobriety is the state of mind you achieve that makes it a priorty for you to consciously stay the course day in, and day out. To DECIDE to live for something of value. Be the best version of yourself. Be of service to others. And to walk a higher path. If you dont lose those things, you haven't lost your sobriety.
