Last week, ECABC staff met with our local MLA Jodie Wickens (Coquitlam-Burke Mountain), who also serves as the Minister of Children and Family Development, to share key priorities of BC’s electrical construction sector. ECABC appreciates MLA Wickens taking the time to learn more about the economic benefits BC could realize from hosting data and AI centres, and the importance getting the regulatory regime for the Construction Prompt Payment Act right to ensure it’s effective legislation supporting constructions and workers getting paid on time.
