IF CLAUDE/AI IS SO USEFUL, WHY ARENT PNLS GOING UP?
I just made an important point on the @smbcapital call. You can’t go a day without reading tweets about traders using Claude. For 6 months now, Claude has been the talk of many trader calls. Yet from what I’ve seen, it’s not translating to pnl for most traders.
Why?
Because almost always, more data and information is NOT the constraint. The traders that outperformed in April did so because of their systems and execution.
It isn’t that Claude and AI shouldn’t be used or isn’t at all useful. But AI and Claude can become a distraction AWAY from the actions and changes that actually matter and translate into PNL.
If I were a betting man, Claude might have improved workflows for traders, but net, it has probably reduced trader pnl through distraction away from what matters.

I am not even close to @Qullamaggie 's left foot, but this is the exact mindset I've been trying to adopt:
Staying cautious, not bearish, with markets extended.
Trims are done, just sitting as much as possible!

What Qullamaggie said before when market was very overbought always one foot out of the door, stay cautious but not bearish "I’m always one foot out of the door, since the markets are kinda extended, and every indicator is saying very overbought. But the thing is, if we go into a blow off move, looking at the Nasdaq, everyone’s been calling to top for years and years. What if we start speeding up, what if we speed up and go to like 11k, 12k, just like in the late 90s? So I don’t think there’s any reason to be bearish. Cautious yes, but bearish? Absolutely not. Until the strong price action in the indices change, and in my long positions change, you know, that’s when I sell. But right now, things are acting really well, and that’s why I’m heavily invested right now."

I had a recurring nightmare that I was short 1000 big NQ in the pit and the market was breaking hard. I waited and waited to take profit. The market came into my target zone, I was buying every 100 lot coming thought the pit but the brokers didnt see me. Nobody saw me or heard me. The market rallied all the way back to my entry and continued and I could not get out. What was a massive, life changing trade became the trade the broke me because nobody saw me. Whenever I had that dream I took the next day off. Thank God I havent had it in years. I am anxious just recalling it.

Traders: If you had to scream on a trading floor like back in the day to get your orders in instead of sitting at home chillin, would you still want to be a trader????
