An interesting article from Public Health Ontario that addresses the health inequalities that have occurred during the pandemic. It shines light on the racial and ethic disparities that were surfaced and how to move forward as a society. #EM203Problemspublichealthontario.ca/-/media/docume…
Education is often taken for granted in developed nations. However for third-world countries, education is a luxury that only few can afford. This article does a great job outlining this issue. #EM203Robingivewell.org/international/…
"If today were the last day of your life, would you ant to do what you are about to do today?" - Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs is a big role model to me and reading the quote helps me realize how valuable time is and there should never be a day that goes to waste. #EM203Robin
EM203 Week 3 challenge:
I learned how to dance the Tango for this twitter assignment! To learn it, I started by watching a Youtube video on the basics of the Tango. I then visualized doing it before actually practicing it. It was frustrating at first but fun overall! #EM203Robin
@EM203VinhTo Hey Vinh - Love hearing your insight! I have always been the type to learn from my mistakes and failures. I believe the more repetitions someone gets, the better their overall knowledge on that concept will be!
@DaniiiMorrison Hey Danielle - I share the same preferred method of learning, but as I have dived deeper into this course, I have realized the various interesting ways people absorb information. Going to try my best to implement these new strategies in my everyday work!
@dani__gooding Hey Dani - Definitely had the same thought process as you. I always have taken pride in my ability to multitask but it seems like doing this over a long period of time seems to have diminishing returns. Will have to reflect on better ways to get my work done!
These first three weeks I've learned so many things but I can say that the biggest impact is the multi-tasking experiment. I always thought multi-tasking was useful but after seeing the results, I realized that doing things simultaneously decreases the overall quality.#EM203Robin
@evan_ramji Hey Evan - Good stuff! I did the sudoku puzzle as well and had a similar timing :) It definitely gets more fun once you get the hang of it and learn all the techniques.
After 3 weeks in this course, I have really enjoyed the tasks so far! It is very cool to see how students can absorb information in a variety of ways and are able to look at simple tasks in a broader perspective. Looking forward to the rest of the semester. #EM203Robin
