@Bassmaster187 @REFLACTtraining Yup, there was construction on the highway, and traffic, for about 160km, and then the other 140km wasn't on highway roads, max speed was 90km/hr on those. Anyway, I used to think I was driving bad or something was wrong, just glad to see 370 KM is pretty standard for everyone.

ThomasD@ThomasDavik

BMW doesn't get enough credit for the new iX3 and the Neue Klasse platform it sits on. Neue Klasse is the genuine game changer here: BMW pulled off what Tesla unveiled at Battery Day in 2020 but never managed to scale properly, building a full 800V architecture around large-format cylindrical cells in a cell-to-pack design. The Gen6 4695 and 46120 cells deliver 20% higher energy density and 30% faster charging than the old prismatic Gen5.

@Bassmaster187 @REFLACTtraining I see it's a general thing, because I was disappointed too, although I still had 35% left, doing the math, I'd get maybe 450km, that's no where near 700km for a 19 inch wheel.

One of the most painful experience I have ever felt was when I went to Abuja last month I requested uber from my apartment to get food. Trip cost was 2500 naira. Uber guy arrived and decided to branch filling station to buy fuel before heading to destination… He asked for 5k fuel and I was quite surprised he asked for a fuel that small considering his tank was empty empty. I asked him why so and he said country is hard and he was struggling. So I asked the fuel guys to fill up his tank which cost approx 70k. In addition to that I also gave him 50k as a gift. He told me I should always feel free to contact him if I ever need a ride and I asked if he was free next day cos my flight was for 7am. He said sure. Next day he picked me up and dropped me off and to my greatest suprise man asked me to pay double the fare to airport because ‘he picked me up early’ My life flashed twice. I couldn’t believe what I heard. Humans are ungrateful and tbh everyday I am reminded that the major reason some people are far from their blessings is simply because they are unwilling to make sacrifices or just simply pain greedy. Till today I still have that flashback and I get angry over again when I remember it. Not exactly angry because of the money given because I mean I did so with zero expectation and will do so again and again but because it hurts soo much that said young man just lost a beautiful opportunity to know me better and probably get an opportunity to work with me beyond that day. GREED sealed his fate It is well.

Let me state it here for the benefit of those who dont know: it takes a country at least 25 years to produce a General in the army. This is aside the financial and other investments the country will have to make to get a General. A country like US or Russia will declare war if any of their active general is killed in another country, talk more in their homeland. Earlier this week US spent more than $500 million to rescue their colonel trapped in a mountain in Iran war, mind you a colonel is less than a Brigadier General.

Coming back from Albania, at Edinburgh airport, the signpost read. British passport holders to the right, other nationals to the left. Now, the British holders were more than those of us non-nationals. But guess what, they breezed through like nothing happened. The rate of response time was like 20persons to 1 person compared to non-nationals. Infact, by the time all the brits have finished on their line, they have hardly attended to 20 of us on the other line. For me, it’s the ease of travelling without having to apply for visas. The ease to work without having RTW constraints The priority service at immigration posts. These passports are not just papers, they are keys to unlock multiple opportunities. If you can get it, please do so by all means. Your generations to come will thank you for it. Your children will pray for you.

Why All Races Find Black People Ugly Regardless of whether someone is White, Hispanic (Latino), Arab, South Asian (Indian), Eurasian, or East Asian, black people are considered the least attractive. Even dark-skinned communities in Asia find black people less attractive. In this video, I explore why these attitudes exist, suggesting that they go beyond skin colour alone. Nevertheless, skin tone remains a significant factor, with lighter skin frequently held up as the global beauty standard. @mikeachimugu01 Point 5 is unnecessary because of point 3, if you say the passenger doesn't have evidence the airline did it, how are you confident the airline didn't do it, have you received information of who did it? Sounds like you're defending the airline. Otherwise, so far so good, kudos.

Since I have been tagged to this post, let me respond. Be informed, we have initiated a meeting between the airline, the complainant, and the NCAA on Thursday. It is to the airline's credit that they have agreed to have this meeting despite the public holiday. Dear lawyer. I not only engaged this passenger here on X, I reached out to him via voice call (WhatsApp) and we had an honest conversation about this matter. At the risk of being preemptive ahead of our meeting, let me state clearly: 1. Any issues between a passenger and Immigration anywhere has NOTHING to do with the airline. The airline does not have any powers over the security agency. This unfortunate matter was between the passenger and an agency of the Qatar government, not the airline. His luggage were scanned by Nigerian officials before departure and, on arrival in Doha, by Qatari officials. Not Qatar Airways. 2. The passenger has said that he was absolved of wrong doing by the Qatari, and he has sent us a document to that effect. He will bring the original copy to our office on Thursday. 3. The passenger says that his and his wife's US visas have been cancelled, and he insists that it is the airline that wrote the US authorities. I have advised him that, unless he has contrary evidence, it is not the purview of any airline to write and advice states over such matters. I would be shocked if this allegation is true, but Qatar Airways has denied it in strong terms. I hope that the passenger has evidence of the claim. It is the agencies of government that usually have access to their sister agencies in other states. Not the airlines. 4. For now, what the airline has done wrong is the tone of their letter to the passenger as they have informed him that he has now been removed from their NO-FLY list after initially banning him based on the government's first position per drug-importation. The letter suggests that, while he has now been forgiven, the passenger must avoidable repeat such wrongful behavior in future. This suggests that the passenger was guilty of the initial allegation of drug possession. The NCAA wonders why such a tone was used if the passenger has been cleared of guilt in the matter. This will be explained during the meeting. The airline would have to write a rejoinder to that letter, applying the correct tone and apologise for the trauma caused by the first letter. 5. Since the airline did not write the US authorities to cancel the passenger's visa, it is not their duty to write the same authorities to revoke that cancellation. 6. The NCAA deals with airlines, not necessarily foreign security agencies or embassies. To that end, it is important that the efforts be directed at the appropriate agencies to handle. 7. Since we have initiated a process for resolution, the passenger cannot claim to have been abandoned. I chatted with him via WhatsApp yesterday. The Authority empathizes with him, but we will work within the scope of the regulations and international conventions. Let me also state that what happened here has nothing to do with his nationality. There are lots of other nationals with similar stories. Including citizens of the US. You may wish to recall the case, In 2018, of Dr. Ellie Holman, a Swedish-Iranian woman residing in the UK who was imprisoned briefly for consuming just a glass of wine that was served her by the airline (Emirates) while on a flight to Dubai. She and her daughter were held together, even though it was the airline that served her the drink, and it was just a glass. 8. Since Qatar Airways will attend the meeting with a lawyer, I advise the passenger to also come with his lawyer. If there are issues and evidence other than what has been shown us, it would be an opportunity to discuss them. 9. Rest assured that this case will receive our best attention and effort toward a resolution.

This unfortunate story may seem like what should happen in a Nollywood movie. But it is 100% accurate. @qatarairways has blatantly refused to address the injustice done to Gideon Ezeh. Mr. Ezeh was on his way to the United States to visit his wife who is a PhD candidate in the US. Ezeh was also carrying a hairdressing mannequin head - purchased as a gift and act of love for his wife who had expressed difficulty braiding her hair. He first purchased it to learn hair braiding and to assist her with it during his visit, and he carried it as an additional gift to her, so she could practise braiding in his absence. WhatsApp messages between the couple dated April 21, 2025, and TikTok hair tutorial videos downloaded by Mr. Ezeh on April 24, 2025, fully corroborate this innocent and deeply personal purpose. There was nothing criminal, suspicious, or irregular about Mr. Ezeh's travel. He was a loving husband flying to support his wife. On May 7th, 2025, while transiting through Hamad International Airport, Qatar, with Qatar Airways, he was detained following suspicion that decorative stones contained within the mannequin might contain narcotics. He cooperated fully with authorities and complied with every investigative procedure requested of him. Importantly, the initial airport field tests reportedly returned negative results for narcotics. Despite this, he was detained and imprisoned for approximately six weeks while forensic analysis was conducted. At the conclusion of this analysis, the competent forensic laboratory determined that the stones were benign and contained no narcotic substances. The Public Prosecution subsequently dismissed the case. While the dismissal confirmed his innocence, the damage caused by the incident has been profound and continues to this day. For six weeks, he was deprived of his liberty, subjected to immense psychological distress, and treated as a suspected narcotics trafficker despite the absence of confirmed evidence. The stigma associated with such allegations is severe and has followed us long after the investigation concluded. The consequences have extended far beyond the time in detention. As a direct result of the allegation, the United States visas of Ezeh and his wife were revoked, and their names were flagged in international travel databases in a manner associated with narcotics trafficking. These actions have had devastating personal and professional consequences. Despite the dismissal of the case, the authorities involved have refused to release the forensic laboratory report confirming the benign nature of the stones. This refusal is deeply troubling. The report is the most critical piece of evidence needed to restore our reputations and correct the record internationally, particularly with immigration authorities who continue to rely on the existence of the original allegation. Denying access to exculpatory evidence leaves the couple in an impossible position where innocence has been acknowledged internally but cannot be demonstrated externally. In addition, Mr. Ezeh was subjected to a ban by Qatar Airways based on an undefined claim of “unacceptable conduct.” This ban was later quietly lifted without explanation, apology, or clarification. The lack of transparency surrounding this action has further damaged his reputation and caused significant distress.

Many participants couldn't make it to Nigeria bcs they couldn't get a Visa. I wish our customs & immigration can do something about it. It's taking opportunities away from us. Our Visa should be easy to get!

People keep wondering why these filling stations never run out of staff despite paying them very little salary.… The real reason is the underground runs and fraud they carry out, that's what keeps their pockets full.. An average filling station attendant goes home with nothing less than ₦30k daily. The level of fraud these people carry out is worse than what happens in politics. Some attendants won't let you send money to the official filling station bank account. Instead, they give you their personal account, lying that the station's network or bank system is bad. They collaborate with the manager to do this. This is how they make thousands of naira illegally every single day. These guys are wicked.

On May 7, 2025, I boarded a @qatarairways flight from Abuja to Dallas, US, with a stop at @HIAQatar to visit my wife. Upon arriving at @HIAQatar, airport security officers accused me of carrying cocaine. The truth was that one of the items I was traveling with contained a harmless stone placed there by the manufacturer for stability. After running several tests and confirming it was harmless, the airport officials lied to me, telling me to follow them outside the airport for more tests—not knowing they were taking me to prison. While I was in prison, @qatarairways wrote a report to the @USinNigeria stating that I had been caught with drugs, even though all tests were negative. My visa was canceled, and my wife’s was revoked. After 6 weeks of agony and more tests, I was released. It has been almost a year, and @qatarairways has refused to retract their report against me.
