For those of you enamored with the 2027 draft already, the Seahawks have 4 comp pick FAs gone and I highly doubt Surratt or Dareke factors into the formula, which leaves you with Josh Jones as one more key FA. Unless the Seahawks shock us all, they'll have comp picks next year.

@mookiealexander I know, just meaning you can’t go out and sign an outside free agent now… like an RB without losing a comp pick. Oh well, john obviously knows this. Just think it makes the Rachaad White’s and Arnold Ebiketie’s of the world less likely

To get a 3, the player has to be in the top 5% of the formula. In recent years, $20M has been the APY for a 3. Xavier McKinney was a 3 for NYG at $17M because he was an All-Pro the year he signed with GB. So the big Q: How many Seattle UFAs will get $20M or be 2026 All-Pros?

They're highly likely to end up with no 3rd round comp picks even if Shaheed, Walker, Mafe, Jobe, and Riq all walk. Remember that this is for ALL player contracts, not free agent contracts. So the odds of any of the Seahawks FAs having 95th percentile value are slim and none.

#Seahawks could get four 3rd round comp picks if they lose Walke, Shaheed, Woolen and Mafe for the 2027 #NFL draft. They could bring back Coby Bryant depending on the price if he does resign, they will get a comp pick as well

@Marcus_Mosher I was thinking the same thing with Ken Walker. If he plays real well, you end up not even being able to pay him. Positional value is even more of a factor in free agency than the draft. It’s an interesting debate

The Ravens selected Tyler Linderbaum in Round 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft and he was clearly the BPA. But because of position value and weird tag designations, he’ll now become an UFA and will (likely leave) next week. They hit on the player. But did they hit on the pick?

A couple young players Vegas *might* have interest in that could make sense in a Crosby trade: ILB Tyrice Knight G Christian Haynes OL Mason Richman Not much else outside of that. Like I’ve been saying, the Seahawks are at a disadvantage on Crosby talks vs. other interested teams. Lower picks + few dispensable players to trade.
