The 'anti-immigrant sentiment' in Ireland will not go away, it will only increase, exponentially. No amount of training, reeducation, name calling or hate speech laws will change how the Irish feel. We are an ancient people and Ireland has been our home for thousands of years. Throughout that time our island remained homogeneous, Irish people are white. You can't force us to accept millions of migrants from the other side of the world and tell us everything is fine. The people coming here don't share our religion, culture or values. They don't look like us or sound like us and will always stand out. Those people also have their own countries, their own homes. Ireland is all we have, and we don't even have all of it. We will never accept losing our homeland. We will not be forced to share this island with anyone else. The more immigrants you bring in the more the public anger will grow, it doesn't matter whether they're poor asylum seekers or tech workers. We don't want our resources going to asylum seekers and we certainly don't want to compete with wealthy Muslims, Chinese and Indians for housing in our tiny country. No foreigner should ever be allowed to purchase a home in Ireland, but you've allowed them to come here and buy up Irish homes in massive numbers during a housing crisis!! The Irish are now paying rent to foreign landlords and that's something we simply cannot accept. Our ancestors did not go to war to replace the British with other landlords. Every man, woman and child in this country learns about Irish history, which means we are all capable of recognizing when we are being colonised again. We see people from other countries gaining political power and recruited to police us, we see them marching in their thousands through our streets, we see how our once peaceful and safe country is now unsafe for Irish people. Altering the demographics of a homogeneous nation in this manner is completely unnatural and unprecedented. That's why there's backlash, that's why people aren't happy, that's why the 'anti-immigrant sentiment' is growing. We will not accept what is happening to our country. Fighting to protect your home isn't a choice, it's an instinct that even animals understand and trying to convince us otherwise is pointless. Ireland belongs to the Irish! 🇮🇪

. @airindia how dare you give my mom’s business class seat to someone else on a long haul flight from Delhi to Washington DC? First telling her the seat doesn’t recline, then saying the seat is for the crew and then she finds someone else sitting there as she is sent to economy?
