For the last couple of years I have been really excited by Apache Spark and the .NET for Apache Spark project (github.com/dotnet/spark) and have been happily contributing as time allows (family, work, house renovations, dogs, etc.) - this time last year I started...(1/x)

@Deliveroo Hey @Deliveroo - the drink wasn't delivered but without a photo of the drink you won't refund the money? This is beyond a joke, i'll never use you again.

Is it normal for .@Deliveroo to not deliver something and then still charge? We don't normally use these delivery services but last week my wife bought some coffee's, one £5 drink wasn't delivered, we complained straight away and have just been told no refund - doesn't seem fair?

@Deliveroo Hi, we did, we used the chat option and then emailed - no luck just a constant stream of "no compensation".

@DeanSheikh1 @jaberwock2 If the ad recession drops spending on display ads by 15%, that will be another $35-40mm hole to make up each month. Few understand this.

When the deal closes, $TWTR takes on an extra $13 billion of debt at 7.75% interest rate. Annual interest payments of ~$1 billion will easily exceed Twitter's cash flow from operations. Musk has bought another money pit

@hackdba I don’t understand how there is a single price globally, like I can buy jeans from £10 a pair to £500 a pair in different places/shops

I'm not defending Shell, but I can see how they could double profits for Q3. When you look at the price of oil for the month of July 2021 vs 2022

Whelp, looks like a good part of my day is going to be spent responding to essays from Data Vault fans eager to explain to me what a "Data Warehouse" is 😅

I try to be fair, but I do just think it is professionally dubious to write a glowing column about the PM in the Comment pages of the Times without mentioning he’s your best friend and was best man at your wedding.

Here's the new government line, per Zahawi: “People are allowed a second chance and the Prime Minister did the right thing to give Suella that second chance.” It was six days

Sky's Niall Paterson: “It’s not as if Suella Braverman is the intellectual powerhouse of the Conservative movement.” Nadhim Zahawi: “You’re now personalising it and being very rude about a particular politician. I think Suella is very capable, it’s unfair for you to say that"

I wonder if picking up three months taxpayer-funded severance payment for getting sacked from a job you did for a few weeks and then getting the job back six days later is the kind of thing a Tory government might want to crack down upon. What a shower of absolute charlatans
