This is vile. Carves up Memphis’s Black population and draws 2 different districts in 2 different 200+ mile routes with a shared terminus in Williamson County. Give me a break. It’s the most blatant dilution of Black voting power since height of Jim Crow.

⚡️UPDATE: PROPOSED 9-0 TENNESSEE CONGRESSIONAL MAP RELEASED Here’s the map from @GovBillLee & Republicans to dilute Black representation in Memphis with white power to protect Trump (after doing it to Nashville)

BREAKING: Republicans have released their proposed Congressional map. Memphis is divided into three different districts like Nashville. Previously, Republicans in the House and Senate couldn’t agree. It appears they’ve finally reached a consensus. More to come.

JUST LOOKED AT THE NEW TENNESSEE MAP. INCREDIBLE. TRULY INCREDIBLE. MEMPHIS — A CITY OF 600,000 PEOPLE — GOT SLICED INTO THREE AND CONNECTED TO WILLIAMSON COUNTY IN A DISTRICT THAT LOOKS LIKE A GROCERY RECEIPT.

@SandyBro20th Yes, and return education back to the states. The US Dept of Ed is part of the problem, not the solution.

@RepHankJohnson Maybe you should move to some place tropical like Guam. No...Wait.... You might cause Guam to tip over if there are too many people on it.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. Today, I am pushing my TERM Act, which would create term limits for Supreme Court Justices, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

@TimInHonolulu Don't care. Principles should not change based on tantrums thrown by those who oppose them. We should NEVER have a district created that intentionally favors one race over another. Let the ideas stand on their merits, independent of race.

What if a large number of Black athletes boycotted schools in Red states that remove Black majority House districts?

Who else misses the boring, no-drama days of @JoeBiden? No chaos. No circus. No daily embarrassment. Just quiet competence from a president who actually knew how to do the job.

Today's Supreme Court decision is a direct assault on the promise of the Voting Rights Act. It risks disenfranchising millions of Americans along racial lines and weakening the very foundation of our democracy. Democracy is not self-sustaining. We must build, preserve, and defend it together. Here in New York City, we will always lead a government of, by, and for the people — all of the people.

As you weigh your choice for governor, Tennesseans, please see below. .@MarshaBlackburn is going dirty, trying to game the system at the behest of her only constituent, Donald Trump.
Marsha Blackburn@VoteMarsha

I urge our state legislature to reconvene to redistrict another Republican seat in Memphis. It's essential to cement @realDonaldTrump’s agenda and the Golden Age of America. I've vowed to keep Tennessee a red state, and as Governor, I'll do everything I can to make this map a reality.
