Literally every media outlet and 90% of the public think it’s a joke. He hardly went mental and was anymore aggressive than most players this weekend who didn’t get punished.

But it’s part of the game and unless you do this for everybody you can’t just decide to do it once. Every game this weekend had lots worse with no bookings. This referee if you watched the game was appalling

They never explain their decisions, they make awful decisions which are borderline corrupt & they get brushed under the carpet and paid again the following week. Let’s hear what the refs say like rugby.

At every level they get screamed, shouted at and abused. If they are not strong enough they have 'lost control of the game' Yet if they give someone a second yellow card you call it bias? Tell me what the hell should they do?

Fucking hell, some of the decisions today have been dreadful. Non of these officials will have to answer to anyone though, it absolutely stinks.

@werekickingoff This ref was absolutely shocking all game to both teams.. he was dreadful and is regularly. All the refs bar 2/3 should be sacked. If they are the best in the country we have issues and how bad must the refs be below this level. Stevie wonder could make it professional

@werekickingoff Why don’t refs come out and explain their atrocious decisions, inconsistency, bias, getting decisions wrong all the time even watching in a VAR room with replays, offsides wrong… blame players all you like, but no wonder they react because refs are a disgrace.

@gregrichardsuk I agree 100%. Jarred he done what should be done every week, it’s only a big talking point because it’s usually unpunished. Few weeks of all refs booking for this kind of dissent and it stops.

Jarred Gillet take a bow! FINALLY a top flight referee punishing dissent appropriately, hopefully more of this to come from him and our colleagues and plays might zip it and just play the game!

How can you defend somebody when the only evidence is what he told neves? Reffing arse licking club. U are part of the problem

Secondly what came out of Neves mouth would not have been the EXACT same words with the EXACT same tone and thirdly Neves was not already on a Yellow card so had no previous warning of conduct. #CrystalClearExplanation 👁
