The universalists were wrong about universalism. It’s not literally true, but rather, an extremely useful fiction when applied to themselves.

@HashtagGriswold @mkwomackjr Thanks. How much of your networth have you given to this cause? Or is this mostly a “I think other people should be forced to do it” kind of thing?

@mkwomackjr I think feeding children is good, and choosing not to feed them because of who their parents are is bad

tokyo adds 100,000 housing units a year in a city of 14 million and rents are flat. we add 50,000 units a year in a country of 330 million and rents are up 30%. the japanese did not discover a secret. they just permit things. it's not a mystery. it's a choice

@Tyler_A_Harper Most jobs are easy to explain before the invention of fake corporate and NGO bullshit jobs.

The number of people I encounter who can’t explain their (generally “good”) jobs and/or what their spouses do is staggering. I’d love to see people try to describe what they actually do for a living in a single 280 character tweet in a way that the average person can understand.
Susannah Black Roberts@suzania

There’s like maybe a maximum of 8 jobs where I understand what the job is. Shopkeeper. Farmer. Teacher of some kind. Priest. Novelist. Journalist. Private detective. Chef. That’s it. What is a data engineer. I don’t know.

insane that we tolerate living in a society where you can go see one dentist and he's like "ya u have 13 cavities, will be $4000 to fix them all" then see another and he's like "that guy was full of shit and trying to scam you, you're fine" ???

No, it is profoundly immoral to "put down" someone who is truly not responsible for his actions - that is (by definition) not justice - to intentionally kill someone who is not guilty of a crime is murder. However, such a person should be confined for life and not allowed to roam free.

@MrAndyNgo Again, insanity should be considered and aggravating circumstance in criminal behavior, not a mitigating one.

@AmerPhilo2025 Removing the right to vote from the illiterate and uneducated would result in D+20 sweeps of every federal election in perpetuity

"Allowing virtually every citizen to vote has been a catastrophic disaster for the United States. We have allowed illiterate, uneducated citizens to hold hostage the world’s largest economy, most powerful military, and a robust intellectual culture. It has decimated the concept of civitas and allowed powerful actors with bad intentions to influence those who cannot think for themselves. To restore the United States, we must seriously consider ending universal suffrage." Read more below. ‍ ‍

@MattWalshBlog The funny thing is, if black criminals are deemed mentally incompetent to face trial at a disproportionately higher rate, then these judges are validating the HBD position.

@CheeseForEvery1 @CoreyWriting What about other also very personal choices, such as your child’s nanny, tutors, or who you rent your spare room out to? Does the “allowed to have racial preferences” switch suddenly flip from on to off, or is it a dimmer switch?

@CoreyWriting I’m pretty militant on this — your dating preferences and whom you wish to mate with are extremely personal and absolutely 0% anyone’s business. There is no need to justify anything about this stuff.

@G_S_Bhogal @ButlersRanger 1. The veil doesn’t model reality at all, let alone imperfectly 2. Most-veil enjoyers are mids who actually believe it models reality.

@TheAyoAkinyemi There’s a report on a region in India which is going through serious job losses and economic collapse due to the Strait of Hormuz shutdown. India, and this is less than 3 weeks. Cuba has been going through similar blockades for decades, yet @realevabest says it’s not sanctions 😂

@philipe_the_don @Chris_arnade Yes. Because urban transit supporters do not understand the correct bottleneck preventing their goals from being realized: Putting criminals in jail, specifically, it will mean a lot more black people. But as soon as race comes up, they will retreat.

Every transit nerd — the urbanist who tell us over and over how much they love public transportation— has to realize until you stop this sort of crap, and make stopping it your number one goal, you and all your train love are doing nothing but annoying everyone else.
