I recently spoke to a founder in colombia, then another founder in Chile - neither of them knew where santo domingo was located - we talk a lot about gringos, but even the most educated Latinos is south America don't know basic geographic 🙃

hands down bridge has the worst customer support I've ever experienced and it's not even close. I strongly recommend others to not work with them, if it can be avoided, and I look forward to the day when we can remove them from our stack

Miamiposting might be a phenomenon whose time has passed, but having just spent a few days visiting, it really does feel like a boomtown in a way that no other American city that I've spent time in over the past few years does. In some ways, it reminds me of Chinese cities.

@paulg Maybe for that company it made sense since they took the money already, but it may not be a smart strategy to take so much money that the best use of it is to grow at 4% per year ( ust rate) instead of 10x

I talked to a startup today that had been forced to take so much from investors and whose expenses were so low that they could put the money in bonds and fund their operations off the interest. I told them they should.

The # of mid career managers pinging me for a role is at an ATH. It didn't strike me as odd till I heard about the layoffs at MSFT. I guess if your primary role was to collect info from the bottom and feed it to the top, you are on the fast path to irrelevance.
