Today marks 205 years of Greek independence. I was grateful to stand in solidarity with Greek Orthodox New Yorkers at the Divine Liturgy, commemorating this triumph of self-determination. From Athens to Astoria, we are reminded that true freedom is the ability to live without fear and shape our own futures. That is the autonomy we are fighting to secure for every single New Yorker. In the words of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, let us march with deep gratitude for the sacrifices that have made our lives possible. Ζήτω η Ελλάδα!

He served in the Zaporizhzhia direction for almost a year, from April 1, 2025, to March 8, 2026. The publication states that he stayed on the front voluntarily due to a shortage of personnel in his unit: "There are not enough people in my company, and about half of the soldiers are over 50 years old. Ideally, it's one month on the position, one month of recovery, but right now that is unrealistic." After 343 days, he was given a short leave. He celebrated his daughter's 10th birthday, taught her to ride a bicycle, and then returned to his unit.

Serbian police arrested man who fought in Ukraine.
A 20 years old man was arrested in Belgrade today on suspicion of fighting with the Ukrainian army. Police recovered a Ukrainian military ID, full combat uniform, a helmet with a camera, and documents confirming his service.
