Nobody animated like that, you can reuse most of a frame for the next one and change only what moved. It is definitely not comparable to 20$ per commisioned drawing

To clarify, US animation is 24 frames per second. How many of those are actual drawings (keys, breakdowns, inbetweens) depends on the timeing of the shot and if the animator/director is working "on the 2s/3s". This is if they have the same drawing hold for 2 or 3 frames at a time.

"200 bucks per second (of animation) and you wonder why everyone is abandoning 'artists' in favor of AI" Hand drawn animation is 8-12 frames per second. Let's average it to 10. That's 20 bucks per drawing, in color, plus backgrounds, plus thumbnails, plus extra time if work needs to be redone or tweaked. Also complexity is exponential, so more characters per scene means more work per frame, x10 per second. If it takes more time than estimated, the artist doesn't earn get overtime. They lose money. Imagine going to work this Tuesday and your boss says "You expect me to PAY you? I could just have a machine do your job." Would you still get up at 6am go to work? Do you have a job? Do you get paid? So do artists. So, 200 bucks per second is more than fair. In fact, it's a steal. If you want quality, you have to buy it like everything else. If you want to pay nothing, all you get will be worthless slop.

What really blows my mind is that ending segregation is actually what destroyed the black community in the first place, before they had a isolated economy (protected from outside influence), many went to church, crime was much lower and things were actually pretty good, when segregation ended it essentially caused their community to collapse, their local black economies could not survive the outside economy and they got swallowed up, long story short, thats the black communities we have today. Before I'm misrepresented, I'm not saying segregation is good, I'm saying the way we ended it was bad.
