Firefighters reportedly attended an automatic fire alarm at the Radcliffe Camera library in Oxford this morning. During previous demonstrations, police have asked firefighters to help remove protesters. Firefighting is a humanitarian role. The FBU advises members not to assist with law enforcement activities.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Senior management at BrewDog have told workers that they must come into work from 6pm despite a serious weather warning still in place. This may force workers to travel during stay at home/risk to life warning. If they don’t come in, they won’t be paid.

Smallest? Pygmy shrews are Britain's smallest mammal, with hearts beating around 20 times per SECOND! And they need to eat about 1.2 times their own body every day. 4-6 cm long with tails about half that length, I embroidered them life size. Which is pretty small! #embroidery

@Eleanorbirdy @guardian Sort of. Certainly that would be the takeaway if you were one of the cage dive operators in South Africa. But the bigger takeaway is that humans are even worse given that orcas are a force of nature we can't control, and we kill far more sharks than even these 2 have done.

Rachel Reeves says she'll amend the finance bill to soften planned changes to the non dom tax regime after intense lobbying from wealthy UK residents 🤨 The govt will increase the "temporary repatriation facility" which allows non-doms to bring money instantly to UK without paying significant taxes. “We have been listening to the concerns that have been raised by the non-dom community,” she says.
