It does appear that the these two groups do hate each other. For the women, I suspect the issue is that they already took on the responsibility and risk of having kids, and for whatever reason have been left absent a husband. They're now projecting onto men in the aggregate to "step up" in some form or another. Basically, they're saying "I already proved I was willing to be a wife and mom, and now I'm all alone and drowning while you men look at me like I'm trash." For men, it's simpler: divorced mom has proven that she's a failure and now she's just trying to con me into cleaning up her mess. This is, of course, sometimes a rationalization of their desire to avoid growing up or projected resentment, i.e., you rejected me then and now you want me, and now I get to gleefully reject you because I can. The result of this is an incredible degree of cultural tension that is also producing a lingering effect. Men see other men getting divorced and think "that isn't going to happen to me" and women see divorced moms treated like lepers or pariahs and think "that isn't going to happen to me." Consequently, it poisons younger generations, making them increasingly averse to taking the risk of marriage. I will say this to the men... A divorced mom is tricky, no doubt, but there are many who will make excellent wives and mothers. I wouldn't count them out automatically. I will say this to the women... Be honest about your relative situation. You're now asking more of a man than is reasonable. Drop the attitude and be grateful... but don't be desperate. You really do have to make sure he's a good man.

What we call Left and Right have far different meanings since the 60s. 1930's fascism sounds far more right leaning on paper and far more Left leaning in practice. So on paper. Fascism believes in private property in contrast to socialism. In practice, you have no authority to disregard the State if you value your life as you once knew it. You make cars. The State tells you it needs tanks. Now you make tanks. The political perspectives of Fascists were de facto far closer to what Leftists have become over the last generation. Silencing opposition. Weaponizing the State against political enemies. Zero freedom to disregard the will of the State if you value life as you previously knew it.
