Per Google in the US there are 7 million Mormons, 2 million orthodox Christians, and 50 million Catholics. Where are all the blatantly cruel Mormons online? This conundrum bothers me. We are known by our fruits. I’m serious when I ask this: Where are the troll Mormons?! I can throw a rock and hit 1,000 Catholic/Orthodox accounts that post non-stop cruelty. For reference I am Catholic. I woke up annoyed by this. Where are they?

This false narrative spread fast! Legally it would be nearly impossible for Alex Murdaugh to get a harsher sentence if convicted upon retrial SCOTUS held decades ago that such is presumptively “vindictive” Courts can’t punish someone for exercising their right to appeal
FOX 5 Atlanta@FOX5Atlanta

Prosecutors could seek the death penalty against Alex Murdaugh if he is found guilty again at a new trial after the state Supreme Court overturned his murder convictions. fox5atlanta.com/news/alex-murd…

@EndH1BNow_ We should end the ability to "convert" a work visa. If you want to convert a visa you should have to go home and apply to convert from there.

@AppyOrtho That’s not enough. The law schools are corrupted by the ABA accrediting system AND they often “qualify” judges. Taking power means we need lawyers and politicians to crush the ABA from both sides.

OK, Republicans need to stop speaking like this. We need to stop assuming that we should never pursue the best policies because “there is zero chance of passage.” The only time there is zero chance is if we do not introduce the proposals. Because guess what, Democrats routinely get things passed that at one time everyone believed stood zero chance. Gay marriage, for instance. Now they had to use the court to do it, but essentially, they kept pushing and pushing until they got it. Same thing with Obamacare. Nobody wanted it, it was incredibly unpopular, and yet they did it. If Republicans don’t start learning to push for what they want as opposed to what they think think they can get passed, we will always be losers, and it will be our fault when this country is destroyed for our children and our grandchildren. Because we lacked courage and thought we were so smart as we sat back and said “there’s zero chance we can get anything good passed.”
DeplorableMoose@DeplorableMoose

@megbasham It won’t be possible to reverse the damage of Hart-Celler. And there’s basically zero chance this passes.

@PhilHollowayEsq I picked up a series from the 90s (Dresden Files - Jim Butcher) and it is AMAZING how you can just read a book without it preaching politics at you. Not once do I know any character's politics. It's glorious.

Why does Ohio even allow non US citizens to own property? I dont mean just the foreign nationals in our neighborhoods, I mean all that farmland China owns across the state. It creates a state and national security issue when foreign countries have private land ownership. This is our state and that is OUR land.

@ThomBrady5 My great grandparents employers -textiIe mills in Appalachia- won awards from the US gov’t for the quality of their duck cloth during WWII. Soldiers need socks. And pants and bedsheets and parachutes. It is a matter of national security to produce those goods domestically.

America doesn't need a sweatshop, ever. We created textiles and cheap low-value products for hundreds of years before globalism. Our $30 trillion annual consumer economy is the biggest in the world, and we can afford pay American workers American wages for American products.
Ethan Sommer, The Sommer Sound Off@SommerSoundOff

Not a popular opinion, but we need an off-shore sweat shop for some goods. And I would rather it be India than China. It doesn’t make sense to pay people $15/hr to make socks. We specialize in high margin, high tech, refined goods. That’s our competitive advantage. India can be an answer to our CCP problem

@mimikmorgan @unlimited_ls I had college friends who video'd themselves wrestling an alligator Steve Irwin style in college. This is what happens when you move here from out of state and think you can just live like you lived "back home" instead of assimilating. You get ate by an alligator.

@RomReddySC Once the zoning is changed to a solar farm (industrial) then it can be sold to build a data center. Good for Berkeley County putting up a fight.

The people of Cross spoke up and said no to a 1,500 acre 198-megawatt solar farm.  The Berkeley County Land Use Committee lifted the large-scale development moratorium anyways. Government no longer believes they serve at the consent of the governed. This is continued weaponization of government against the citizen. Santee Cooper, which has been mismanaged by political appointees and donors for years, is the one driving this project apparently. Why? They claim they will run out of power. The power grid is in a reasonable balance as long as we don't add data centers. So, at least be truthful. The citizens of this state are being fed a line of BS by career politicians and unelected bureaucrats who are in the pocket of special interests that do not have our best interests at heart. Increasingly, we are losing vast tracts of land to new green deals in various forms of disguise while our power and water resources are being sucked up. The politicians who have no idea how business works say they will make these folks pay their way, but this has never happened before because the cost-plus utility pricing model we have is not set up for it. Who is paying the way for the $10 billion-dollar nuclear boondoggle managed by Santee Cooper that went south? We, the people are. Enough already. South Carolina is a uniquely beautiful place, both because of it's wonderful people and pristine nature. We cannot let it be turned into a developmental nightmare by people with no strategy and no deal making skills who have no interest in listening to the people they are supposed to serve. It's time for something different.
ABC News 4@ABCNews4

Boos and pleas for county leaders to protect a rural community filled a public hearing in Berkeley County as residents pushed back against a proposed 1,500-acre solar farm and the decision to advance a request to lift a development moratorium. Read more: bit.ly/4fm1XnA
