My friend Mohamed is taking care of his three young children. His beloved Rania died after the birth of baby Nusrat, her body weakened during the famine. He is suffering from a painful and dangerous injury from a bombing early on in the genocide. gofundme.com/f/urgent-aid-f…

As Keir Starmer yet again recycles his antisemitism creation story - worth revisiting Ep 2 of Al Jazeera's The Labour Files which blew apart much of the media reporting around this issue. Plse share. Still being determinedly ignored by UK media. youtube.com/watch?v=5DTMF0…

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya to his lawyers: "Do everything possible to get me out of this place." During another visit at the underground Rakefet detention facility, he reported that he had once again been beaten by prison guards following his previous visit and has since been held alone in solitary confinement. He said his finger was injured and that he was also suffering from a problem with his right eye, yet he was not receiving adequate medical care. The visit took place under conditions that did not allow for confidential communication: behind an opaque partition, via telephone, while masked prison guards remained within earshot. Dr. Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, has been detained since December 2024 without charge or trial, along with 13 other doctors and dozens of healthcare workers. Despite repeated reports of violence and the denial of adequate medical care, the Israel Prison Service has yet to provide his medical records or allow an independent physician from PHRI to examine him. We call for Dr. Abu Safiya's immediate release, for his removal from solitary confinement and from the underground detention facility pending his release, to be granted an independent and impartial medical and legal examination, and to receive adequate medical care while his safety and well-being are ensured. #releasethe14doctors

The reason Israelis and its American loyalists are so horrified by the interview with @RoKhanna is because @jeremyscahill advocates hehre the most taboo idea of all taboos in DC: That the same moral standards the US and Israel purport to impose on the world also apply to them. Thus: if Israel had the right to attack and bomb the shit out of Palestinians due to October 7, then Palestinians had and have the right to attack Israelis (especially military bases and IDF soldiers) due to Israeli violence against them on Oct 6, Oct 5 and pretty much every day befoe that for the prior years.
Eylon Levy@EylonALevy

‼️Holy shit Jeremy Scahill presses Rep. Ro Khanna to say he supports the October 7 Massacre. Khanna: “It’s a scale of 1-10. You’re a 10, I’m saying let’s go 6, 7, 8.”

@toddrichman @slowhoneybee @Israel @jeremyscahill @DropSiteNews @ryangrim Any fair person watching would see I disagreed with Scahill again and again and called Hamas a terrorist organization and said I did not believe that violence against Israeli soldiers or civilians is justified. I am for non-violence and a just peace.

truly just inject this into my veins - and this is the line of questioning and accountability, from Scahill, you get when you’re not vested in the Democratic Party and support Palestinian resistance to U.S.-backed Israeli extermination. Not that PR fluff.

Gaza remains completely closed to outside journalists, 9 months after the “ceasefire.” I don’t believe there is any precedent for this kind of closure in any contemporary war.* It’s ominous, outrageous, and hardly anyone talks about it anymore. *correct me if I’m wrong

If anyone, after three years of US- supported genocide, aggression, extrajudicial executions, & widespread destruction abroad and persecution at home, still had any doubt that the violent lawlessness and fascistic arrogance of the US government (and its Israeli partner) was a threat to the entire world, this open declaration of unlawful intent should settle the matter. The US is expanding its unlawful attacks on the ICC, on the broader system of international law, and on the very concept of human rights. If the world does not rise from its knees to stop the global rampage of the US-Israel Axis, it will damn itself to a generation or more of unprecedented darkness. Stand up or learn to live on your knees. state.gov/releases/offic…

People keep asking me why I support 🇳🇴 Norway didn’t just beat Israel 5–0 behind an Erling Haaland hat-trick. The Norwegian Football Association donated every net ticket dollar from the match to Doctors Without Borders for emergency medical relief in Gaza. Its president, Lise Klaveness, said the federation “cannot and will not be indifferent” to the humanitarian suffering. Norway also became one of the few national federations to publicly argue that Israel should face sanctions in international football. Their 5–0 rout all but ended Israel’s hopes of reaching this World Cup. Some teams carry the courage to say that human dignity matters beyond the final whistle.

A reminder that it is official policy of the European Union to deny a genocide that is still being carried out and that everyone has been watching take place in real time, in intimate detail, via the internet.

Tomorrow, Europe pays its tribute to the memory of over 8,300 Bosniak men and boys who were killed in the Srebrenica genocide 31 years ago. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims of the genocide. Read the joint statement by HR/VP @kajakallas and Commissioner @MartaKosEU here: link.europa.eu/3pQgjM

Israeli settlers, in general, are the worst scum on earth. They have become so psychotic that Israelis pretend to denounce them, but it's the US-funded IDF which protects and enables them. If they do this to a US Congressman (with US arms), imagine what they do to Palestinians:
Ro Khanna@RoKhanna

Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me & other Americans on my trip to Palestine. When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers & continued our detention. They made a huge mistake. You will be hearing more soon. nytimes.com/2026/07/11/us/…

Genocide is defined under Article II of the 1948 UN Genocide Convention as any act committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. One of the five acts is “deliberately imposing destructive life conditions.” Look at these photos of what is left of Khiam and Debbine. Remember that more than 65 towns and villages in Lebanon are still under Israeli occupation and are still undergoing daily illegal civilian home and infrastructure demolition. These are acts of genocide.

Many, myself included, have focused on the inadequacy of Andy Burnham’s statement about Gaza. But the headline is ‘LABOUR GOT GAZA WRONG’. We must repeat that incessantly—and make sure it has *much* bigger consequences than Burnham intends.

@AyoCaesar @LeftieStats Oh come on now. You didn't just mean he used a lot of words; it signified something positive. Whereas if fact, it might be true that this is more than he's said before but there is nothing in there that shows a willingness to break with the govt line in a significant way.

It is for every state that has signed the Genocide Convention to make its own determination. It’s a political decision, the need for which was triggered at least 30 months ago when the ICJ warned of a plausible risk of genocide in Gaza. Totally unimpressive that Burnham hasn’t moved an inch from Starmer’s manifestly incoherent and immoral position on this issue.
Philip Proudfoot@PhilipProudfoot

Burnham claims “it’s for the courts to determine” if Israel has committed war crime. This is Starmer’s line; it’s not true. Two UN independent commissions of inquiry have determined Israel has not only committed war crimes — it has breached the genocide convention.
