🔴 Press Release ✔️ The Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders in Western Sahara (CODESA) announces the conclusion of its international campaign organized on the 50th anniversary of the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara. This campaign aimed to recall and denounce the continued perpetration by the Moroccan occupation force of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and grave human rights violations against Sahrawi civilians in Western Sahara, as well as the plundering of natural resources and the denial of the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination. The campaign ran from 02 October 2025 to 20 November 2025, and resulted in outcomes that reflect the scope of international solidarity with the cause of the Sahrawi people, as follows: Total signatures: 340, distributed across. 56 countries from the five continents. Political parties and civil society organizations: 185. Public figures: 155 from various fields and countries. CODESA extends its gratitude and appreciation to all the organizations and individuals who signed the statement; affirming that the success of this campaing to affirms that the success of this campaign strengthens its efforts to expand coordination with supportive organizations and personalities, in order to influence their governments to contribute to the implementation of international legality and to achieve a just and lasting solution to the question of Western Sahara that guarantees the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination. The international campaign led by CODESA in 2021 calling for the establishment of a permanent mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Western Sahara.
