YouTuber Geekerwan has studied a leaked Nintendo Switch 2 motherboard and discovered that the custom chip has 8 Arm CPU cores and 1,536 NVIDIA graphics cores made with Samsung 8nm technology at a size of 207 mm² with 12GB of fast memory. Performance when docked to a TV is expected to be between Apple’s A18 Pro and a GTX 1050 Ti, while in handheld mode it is closer to a GTX 750 Ti or PlayStation 4 and similar to the Steam Deck. Although the hardware is based on older designs, features like DLSS, ray tracing, and special game optimizations could still make it run games very well.

On parle d’une “exclu Switch 2” mais visuellement, rien ne justifie le move : textures pauvres, environnements vides, foliages datés… t’as jamais ce moment où tu te dis “ok ça, la Switch 1 pouvait pas”. @BestMovieMom I think it's unrealistic to expect modern movies to look the same (color grading) as they did 20 years ago. Movies from the 2000s were a product of their time; things have changed.

Big improvement in direction over the Watts films, but the color grading is still flat and uninspired, nothing compared to Sam Raimi’s movies.

@SamiTrese Es poco probable porque ya hay comparativas y todos los modelos son distintos. Destacan mucho Diddy y DK. Hay algunas animaciones recicladas para los personajes menos importantes. A mi me suena que le dieron todos los assets nuevos a Camelot pero no vieron a Goomba importante.

If you've been debating buying a Nintendo Switch 2, I have this funny feeling you should buy one sooner rather than later.

Nintendo structures itself with internal and external development groups, called EPDs. There are 10 official teams, at present, verified by executives in investors meetings. Three of these are "external" teams, like "co-development" (1+2), 6, and 7 that assist and publish "second party" titles under the Nintendo brand. Each EPD team has set IPs they work on, often alternating between them. EPD8, the 3D Mario team, has worked on 3D Mario and some Donkey Kong titles (e.g. Jungle Beat, DKB) for the past twenty years. Development on DKB started in 2017. Even if a BRAND NEW 3D Mario was co-developed or simultaneously develiped, it would have to be a 2028 title (earliest). The only way the release window could be possibly shortened, is a "sequel" with recycled assets (e.g. Galaxy 2, Bowser's Fury) or a remaster/remake (e.g. SM64DS). We are much more likely to get an EPD10 (2D Mario/Pikmin team) title before then. But, we already have, in a way, with the Mario Wonder + Meetup in Belabel Park release. Nintendo has a confirmed 10 first and second party titles slated for this year, not including the multiple "upgrades"/DLC. Three of them are TBD. All of these are listed in pages 8-12 of the investors' report. The two holiday titles this year will be Pokemon Gen 10 and Duskbloods (escalated 2.5 party, in cooperation with Nintendo). There might be a well-hidden third (either the Monolithsoft title ("legacy") or a recycled Mario), but ultimately, Nintendo follows this structure. The biggest talking point in the recent investors meeting is the importance of NS2's second and third years with planned software. That combined with statements about install bases, it's clear that Nintendo's understood strategy is to increase the total install base before pushing their largest software, to maximize dual-sales. This is functionally an intelligent move, as even without a plumber or elf, the console continues to sell fast. And moving plumber+elf to the second and third year, software + hardware sales will be stable over the first five years of the console.

@AmorimOUT25 I have never believed their is an OOT Remake as I don't think Nintendo has the resources or a studio that could work on it, it would be a herculean effort (I'd love to be wrong though.) My guess is an HD version of OOT 3D or Twilight Princess HD for the anniversary.

I'm predicting that this year is going to be the "coasting" year for Nintendo as it looks like most of their announcements for the year they have already made. They will rely heavily on Switch 2 editions and third parties this year to carry the load as a lot of their big games wont be ready outside of 1 major game in October. Early November will be Pokemon and nothing else, NOA I bet has already warned Nintendo in Japan to stay clear of GTA 6 as anything released in late Nov, all of December and part of January 2027 is DOA, not even Nintendo is safe from Rockstar's Magnum Opus.
