Most of you will ignore this. But Bitcoin OGs will get this instantly. 👇 I’ve been around long enough to know how early opportunities feel. When I was accumulating Bitcoin, most people didn’t get it. They called it useless, risky, and said it would never work. The ones who understood it early didn’t wait for approval, they paid attention, learned, and positioned. I’m starting to see that same early-stage misunderstanding again with @Bittensor. This isn’t just another altcoin people trade for quick gains. It’s something deeper. It’s infrastructure being built quietly while most of the market is distracted. Instead of chasing hype, it’s focused on creating real systems around decentralized intelligence. ▪️Decentralized AI networks actually producing value ▪️Real incentives, not fake yield ▪️Subnets competing like startups, but open What stands out to me is how early this still is. $TAO isn’t just a token you flip, it’s becoming the base layer for decentralized intelligence, similar to how Bitcoin became the base layer for money. The difference is, this time the market is even bigger. You’re not just looking at finance, you’re looking at AI, data, and computation all merging into one open network. Most people will ignore it because it’s not simple to understand yet. That’s exactly how Bitcoin looked in the beginning. The same doubts, the same hesitation. But if you’ve been through one cycle early, you start to trust the pattern. I’m not saying it replaces Bitcoin, nothing does that. But I am saying this: opportunities at this level don’t come often. Bitcoin was the first time I saw it. Bittensor feels like the next time I’m seeing it early again. You can study it now while it’s still quiet, or you can come back later when everyone is talking about it and pay a much higher price to understand the same thing.

Most bittensor subnets have had miner burn at 100% for months. Many of them have been on podcasts and garnering attention, with no product in sight. Ask subnet owners why you should hodl their token when they launched a subnet that wasn't ready yet. If you hodl their alpha, you are the exit liquidity

It’s your time to grab some FREE merch. Here’s what you need to do to win an Outsider shirt and a FundamenTAO hat, both by Tao Merch: 1 - Comment on this post: What is Bittensor? In your own words. (One paragraph is enough) 2 - Follow @taomerchx 3 - RT or RQT this post Quick one. On the 24th, I’ll ask 3 builders from the Bittensor ecosystem to choose the 3 best answers. There will be 3 winners, announced here on the 24th at 10:30 PM EST. Detail: it’s 100% free. Both items + shipping are covered by @taoutsider and @taomerchx. Liking this post and following me is optional, but I will be glad. I’ve said this before: being an Outsider means looking at Bittensor zoomed out. Seeing the whole picture. No bias. Just commitment to the ecosystem. Now it’s your move.

templar founder dumped 37k TAO worth of subnet tokens (grail, basilica, templar) and bounced after dispute with bittensor cofounder TAO itself wasn't rugged but you're seeing the contagion... price went from $341 to $283 in 24hrs no public statement from @opentensor yet which is concerning

Reevaluating TAO and subnets after this move by Covenant. Very disappointing to see. Unclear but based on what I can tell seems like Covenant completely rugged their existing tokenholders (Templar, Grail, Basilica). I hope not but I'm out. Not a pretty picture.

Exploits are what teach a system its weak spots. The quicker you find them the faster you learn. The outcome of this eventful evening is that Bittensor will invent lock-based subnet ownership -- specifically: ownership of a subnet determined by a team's long term economic commitment to the project. This will mean: 1) investors see long in advance if an owner has unlocked their tokens, 2) be able to reprice the subnet before the owner and 3) liquidly direct their own conviction to another team, or agent, to manage the system. Thank you @DistStateAndMe for helping further Bittensor's decentralization and develop a solution to one of cryptos oldest problems: founders who rug their token holders. Looking forward to training some 1T param models with the miners who are experts in this unique field. "What is dead can never die"

Bittensor community, as I said before, I am not selling a single $TAO. My life and my plans remain exactly the same. Most likely, in some time, we will become even stronger than we were with Covenant. $TAO is my field. I spend a significant part of my time here every single day, and I will keep updating you as clearly and honestly as I can. I recorded a video interview with Sam Dare about a week ago. Unfortunately, I won’t be publishing it because the recording failed. During the conversation, he spoke positively about Const and mentioned that the 72B training milestone was already old news internally. They had already been working on something new since October. He also said he didn’t feel responsible for the current hype around Bittensor, although he acknowledged he may have contributed to it. He seemed happy and genuinely excited during the interview. At no point did he show any sign of dissatisfaction. And honestly, I would have felt like an idiot if I had published an interview where he said the opposite of what happened today. I can't express how disappointed I am about all of this right now. Still, Bittensor is bigger than that. I will work hard in the next days to keep the Bittensor Community posted about everything. I will do my best.

The line “you only need a phone and internet” works well for $TAO. But when we’re talking about $dTAO and the broader ecosystem, that’s not the approach you should take. With a desktop or laptop, you can evaluate validators, compare APYs, navigate multiple platforms and sites, check GitHub, follow Discord activity, and add indicators to subnet charts. And that’s just the beginning. With only a phone and internet, you can buy and sell quickly and do some light research. Don’t limit yourself.

$TAO at $310.65, up 78% over 30 days but still 60% below ATH from 2024. recent momentum is strong. grayscale just rebalanced their AI portfolio 15 hours ago, slashing NEAR/RENDER/FIL/GRT/IP allocations to push $TAO from 31% to 43% of the fund. that's not trimming around edges, that's conviction. yuma group (DCG subsidiary) staked 19% of total supply. their xTAO validator yielding 7.2%. when you're locking up a fifth of circulating tokens, you're not playing short term games. GTAO (grayscale bittensor trust ETF) progressing with bitgo and coinbase as custodians per S-1 filing on NYSE arca. traditional finance onramps getting built. polychain dropped $200M into the project 4 days ago. not their first rodeo, they don't allocate like that without conviction in the tech stack. subnet metrics showing actual usage: subnet 3's covenant-72B hit 67.1 on MMLU benchmark 9 hours ago. subnet 64 processing 12 billion tokens daily as serverless AI compute. these aren't vanity metrics, it's measurable network activity. cerebras integration announced 11 hours ago. AI chip leader tying into bittensor infrastructure expands compute capabilities beyond what most decentralized networks can touch. thorchain integration dropped 2 days ago enabling native cross-chain swaps directly into $TAO from BTC and other chains via DEX. no wrapped tokens, no bridges to trust. real interoperability. volume hit $270M three days ago, up 122% month over month. HTX running futures contest through today with $20k prize pool, keeping it visible to active traders. price action shows $TAO moving with FIL and ARB in recent rallies, participating in broader AI and L1/L2 narratives. opened march at $174, pushed through $333 by late march, consolidated around $305 now. tokenomics mirror bitcoin: 21M max supply, halving mechanism every 10.5M blocks. subnet reward distribution based on root weight, staking mechanisms live. launched march 2023 with 7200 $TAO daily distribution that's been decreasing. the dcentralized AI thesis is playing out in subnet performance and institutional capital allocation simultaneously

$TAO VERY short term As noisy as it is, and even though I’m committed for the long term… I love doing short-term price projections. Do you like tracking this kind of movement? Most probable scenario 65% - Rotation between $285–320, followed by expansion toward $360–390. Secondary scenario 30% - Liquidity sweep into $250–270, acting as a reload zone before continuation. Low-probability scenario 5% - Loss of $240 opens room for a deeper structural reset. Macro read: compression inside an expansion regime. Again: do you like this kind of content?

No more Claude for OpenClaw (and I presume Hermes and other similar tools) The decision now is to switch to openAI or to switch to try and do most things within the Anthropic ecosystem Or try a mix of both?? What're you planning on doing?
Boris Cherny@bcherny

Starting tomorrow at 12pm PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw. You can still use these tools with your Claude login via extra usage bundles (now available at a discount), or with a Claude API key.

Anthropic is selling it as a claude subscription, then charging a premium to actually run the agent framework that's all the rage atm. You can’t brand it as a comprehensive subscription only to pull the rug on its core utility. From a consumer pov, the default mental model is to assume the "claude subscription" provides unrestricted access to anthropic's models. Hooking up openclaw is naturally the next step. No one hates a company for having tiered pricing for different services based on usage patterns. Claude subs are subsidized for individual use. Third-party harnesses create outsized strain on their systems. If you're running openclaw 24/7 with agents executing tasks nonstop, you can just pay the api costs for the actual compute you're burning. But the branding should have been clearly distinct - subscriptions cover products like claude code and cowork, and third-party tools require extra capacity, which is billed separately.
