Proof if ever it were needed. In the last 2 years investigating officers at the Environment Agency have recommended that fat cat water industry bosses should be prosecuted on 5 separate occasions. Late to the party, federal UK map. Every one of these divisions has proud historical tradition, and maps surprisingly well to modern politics. Dividing England into its historic constituent Kingdoms (and major duchies) would help restore a more equal footing.

@LeftieStats So according to this 0 votes for the Yorkshire Party. As it is the only political party with a defined plan for the prosperity of all of Yorkshire which would be a huge benefit to the East Riding, I doubt it.

Despite what the European diaspora may believe, European people celebrate their heritage literally all the time.

The economic gains would benefit local people, and the Nation as a whole. These regions large and small would be a template for others to follow.

@SayWhatYerLike @cayce89297 @yeongno3 I'm not sure what the argument is here. Because their are regional differences there is no united national identify and shared culture? Only the most obnoxious Yorkshireman would try to argue that he is so distinct from the rest of England as to be though of as another nation.

There is no reason why Cornwall cannot have our own devolution. We are a national minority and we have the same rights as Wales and Scotland. We won’t be run from Devon, and we won’t be bullied into accepting any arrangement that denies our national status.

@AndrewRTDavies @jones_mog Except he's not. He believes in Wales remaining as part of the UK but having limited self-government. He doesn't want Wales to become a sovereign state in it's own right like 🇮🇪 is. You seem to be equating anyone who wants devolution as being a nationalist. Which includes you!

There is no case for not building the M4 Relief Road. Not only would it drive investment into Wales and deliver good quality jobs, the official inquiry also found it would reduce pollution and protect our environment. Separatism is the reason it didn’t happen. Nationalists in Labour and Plaid Cymru fear better links with England, as it would undermine their separatist project. They’ll happily make people poorer to pursue it.
