@nascarman_rr Feel like Harvick and Gordon did burnouts on the bricks in the 2000’s and no one cared.

Brickyard 400 legit the most toxic NASCAR race of the year. Burnout in the wrong place ppl say you disrespect the track. Another NASCAR vs IndyCar fan beef. Argue over crown jewel status. Dirty air, can't pass anyone. Empty seats unavoidable.

@TheTimDurham I remember Jeff Gordon doing a burnout on them in the 2000’s and nothing was said.

I get that drivers aren’t supposed to burn out on the bricks, and am all for that, but I just don’t get the outrage. They’re clean, no lasting harm. Don’t do it again, but beyond that, why are people so mad?

@NKY_Leftist @fakeaccount2287 You just send the court order for name change with a form in to the state department. If it’s an older passport may need to go to Walgreens and get a new pic. Although, that’s being updated to be done from your phone.

From a conservative perspective the problem with hoping for Alito to strategically retire is that his replacement will be a downgrade. You just won’t find someone with his intellect, legal craftsmanship and backbone. He’s clicking on all cylinders and, by the way, is still younger than our two most recent presidents.
SCOTUS Wire@scotus_wire

NPR mistakenly published an article reporting the retirement of Justice Samuel Alito. No such announcement has been made by Justice Alito or the Court.

"You can’t be a Christian & play poker. Every time YOU WIN someone LOSES." I get this often from church people. Sadly A TON OF CHURCH PEOPLE SEEM TO DELIGHT IN JUDGING OTHERS. Here’s my take: (I was a poker pro for a decade & still play some).

I don’t think people understand how big the movie industry used to be these days, it’s just superhero movies and other stuff based on existing IP (novels, comics, video games, etc.) but in the 90’s and late 80’s, you could make a movie about ANYTHING and it would be huge you could make a movie based on a pun, like The Santa Clause, and there would be 17 sequels. 14 in theaters and 3 straight to DVD or you could make a movie where the entire premise of the movie is in the title, like “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” and there’d be 17 sequels: “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid,” “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves,” “Honey, We Made the Kids Medium Sized” there’d be a TV series on FOX or the Disney Channel the movies would do $223m at the box office. Rick Moranis would star we simply are never going back to those days

Why can’t the nfl adopt the VAR tech for measuring first downs and such?

@uhhhray @S_ATL_Wrestling It’s a trilogy, oba over Brock at summerslam. In a way that torch passes to Oba. Brock gets his retirement at home if he chooses and it’s not manufactured like Goldberg and Cena

Every time I forget I live in a bubble, I think of this: The Olive Garden Effect I know no one who thinks it is good or goes there. "What a dump," I think. Then I drive past there at 2pm on a Tuesday and it's absolutely packed.

@Cernovich Do you think the retail availability and big pushes of Dave Ramsey, FIRE community, and other groups in between are driving a higher floor in the market? So much passive money is flowing in that it has to change some dynamic when comparing prior periods in the market to now.

Retail has never had more access to ETF’s. SMH has outperformed almost every hedge fund with fewer fees. QQQ has as well. Even VOO / FXAIX are double digit. What is this despair your preach? The last 10 years have been generational for mom and pop investors.
Joey@Joey08842532

@Cernovich The Stock market is an illusion now. Retail investors mean zero. It's 5-10 Private equity groups that have control over Government Pension funds, Foundation & Endowment money, and Peoples 401ks. They pick winners and losers, manipulate numbers and do business amongst themselves

@mcuban @VictorWerley I administer a self insured plan. This is extremely intriguing. We actually are partnered with your cost plus drugs on the PBM side but are locked with BCBS AL on the health side.

It's a great point. The real question should be whether only federal regulations are removed ? Or is federal and state funding removed as well. The implications of each are very different. Remove regulation, and I think they become more powerful Remove funding, and the entire economic foundation for healthcare providers is destroyed and most insurance companies, then providers go out of business. It's not like the tax dollars would be returned to people who need money to pay for care. That said, there is a path where self insured employers (they cover about 65 pct of employees)can dis- intermediate insurance companies and direct contract with providers. Reducing the carriers power Thoughts ?

Ok. Take government completely out of healthcare. No rules. No laws. No Medicare. No Medicaid. Hospitals, insurance companies, can do anything they want. What do they do ? If you were running any of the biggest insurance companies or hospitals, what would you do differently once gov was completely out of healthcare ?
Matthew Bednarik@BednarikMatt

@mcuban @GovBillLee Or just let the free market compete and get the government out of Healthcare. A free market would inevitably lead to lower costs for consumers.
