Trump Always Chickens Out update: This administration delays a rule protecting American contract chicken farmers from rigged pay systems that the big poultry companies control. The chickening out is now literal. Here's @FarmBureau President Zippy Duvall:

Trump is demanding that the FTC not only bring MUSA lawsuits but also make another rule. We'll see if Trump's frustration with his own FTC is enough to get them to bring a single case.

Why hasn't the Trump-Vance FTC done anything? One possibility is a lack of staff, after DOGE and low morale saw a major exodus of attorneys. Another possibility is pay-to-play corruption, which has come out into the open at the DOJ, and is likely happening at the FTC, too.

Lina Khan did a ton of MUSA enforcement by the way, including finalizing the Made in the USA Rule after Congress demanded this rule in 1994! She also got a record fine from a company for violating MUSA advertising.

It's not like companies suddenly stopped claiming their products were manufactured in the USA when the Trump Vance FTC stopped enforcing the law on Jan 20, 2025. Check out @TruthinAd calling out Stellantis for false advertising in a major TV campaign from April 2025.

You read that right. The Trump Vance FTC hasn't brought a single case, despite declaring July 2025(!!) "Made in the USA" month.

It seems President Trump is really unhappy with his "Trump-Vance FTC" for not defending American manufacturers. The FTC hasn't brought a single truth-in-advertising lawsuit for Made in the USA claims! So Trump just issued an EO demanding that the FTC get moving.
