This is my uneducated view on the economy across Australia: Inflation has dropped too quickly, the economy is stalling, there is reduced consumer spending. Cost of living is a big issue due to lack of business confidence and wages stable. Increased taxes will exacerbate this 1/

We all have encountered people who treat their bosses well but are jerks to their colleagues/trainees. Your true character is reflected by how you treat people that have no power over you. Treat your nurses, RTs, porters, cleaners, students, trainees, pharmacists, admin, and yourself kindly. If we all did this, our hospitals would be an even better place to work!

I'm hearing about #medicare urgent care centres that were closed today despite getting $1Million/year payments to be open 365 (almost $3K per day). Meanwhile actually GP practices get joke-level incentives from PHNs to open after-hours, that don't even include Saturday mornings.

@Mark_Butler_MP UCCs cost taxpayers $250 per presentation. And seeing as only 1/2 of those report they'd go to the ED; it's actually $500 per prevented ED presentation. Meanwhile the GP medicare rebate is less than $45. Doesn't seem like great use of money.
