@SS_strength I deadlift, but I don’t think it’s in any way essential for the development of an excellent level of strength or an impressive physique. That Starting Strength programs 1 set of DL per week says something about its high fatigue costs.

@DeanTTraining I have limited row options in my home gym, but I have found that beyond heavy DB/KB rows leaning on a bench I can get a good bit of tension by standing against a front cage upright, wrapping a heavy band around the rear upright and rowing upright with chest supported by the frame
