Let’s be clear on the facts: - Shortly after the pro-renaming march on 14 March, the PAC immediately blamed “White supremacist settlers” with zero evidence. Notably, this grave has been damaged multiple times (2001, 2023), long before this renaming drama. No arrests or proof have linked it to any “racist conspiracy.” This is not isolated. It follows the classic pattern we’ve seen for years: 1. Push symbolic erasure of Afrikaner/White heritage. 2. Blame any resistance on “racism.” 3. Escalate with violent rhetoric. 4. The inevitable result is farm murders, tortures, and attacks that have claimed thousands of White lives since 1994 (statistically among the highest targeted murder rates in the world). ANC Secretary-General @MbalulaFikile set this exact narrative in motion. He publicly declared the name change “is not going to change,” labelled all opposition “racists who refuse to be part of the democratic dispensation,” and demanded they be “exposed.” Within days, PAC and aligned radicals are running with it, turning disagreement over a street name into a licence to threaten bullets. Mbalula lit the match. White South Africans are not “settlers” who “deserve” bullets. You smugly ask what we white South Africans have sacrificed? We've lost life expectancy, the low murder and rape rates of the lands of our ancestors, our status as global competitor and jewel of the continent; our heritage, monuments, street and town names, our history in the national school books, our high standards of education, our mother-tongue in schools, our universities and all other higher-function departments in our language. We forfeited functionality of infrastructure, hospitals and services and our unprecedented global index achievements. We offered our right to self-determine our destiny and our fate shaped by our own taxes. We have been made to forget how we as an acute minority in every war, kept the overpowering impis in check, then kept Empires at bay and then fought Communism for decades. We've lost simple things too, like chatting to our children about their future. Seeing them play in parks and on our pavements, safely. But we've lost the dearest of them all: our sovereignty. In other words, the right to not be ruled by people who hate and despise us.
