In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross. In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress. At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped. A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him. Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours! The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion. To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific. This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine. Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father. Thank You, Jesus.

When I received threats in 2023, Dr Besigye reached out to me, requesting to meet me. I wondered what we were going to talk about, but eventually arranged to meet him, on a Sunday. He drove from home to town, just to meet me! And what was the meeting about? Simply encouraging me: “Stay firm, don’t give up. When you give up you discourage others who want to speak up as well”. I could almost touch the determination and passion in his stern voice. That was all he wanted to meet me about - one hour of counsel and encouragement! Then he went back home, and we never spoke again. Dr Besigye’s commitment is amazing! And, with all he has gone through for a better Uganda, to hear someone call him a mole, is such a painful thing. #JusticeforBesigye

Wooow! Hon. Ssemuju, apparently raises a very important point here, perhaps without realising it: The question of POWER, or in TRUMP speak, WHO HAS THE CARDS; Ssemuju or those Councilors/ Peasants, Those Ordinary People he is Trashing? And the QUESTION OF POWER he inadvertently raises is itself linked to the issue ACCOUNTABILITY OF MPs; TO WHO ARE MPs ACCOUNTABLE? In a system of POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY, where does PARLIAMENTARY AUTONOMY start and end? Apparently, many MPs think they are ACCOUNTABLE to Parliament; to themselves, instead of the PEOPLE(popular sovereignity). That's why Ssemuju causally dismisses Ssebuwufu! But in real power matrix, those PEOPLE, who Ssemuju trashes as Councilors can actually RECALL HIM on whim! IN my view, in systems run by POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY, AND POPULAR DEMOCRACY, It should be a matter of policy for every MP to be vetted by the VILLAGE COMMITTEES of their Constituencies BECAUSE ITS THEM WHO HAVE THE CARDS. Who know their interests. Even NATIONAL BUDGETS should be taken to The Local VILLage Councils TO BE EXPLAINED IF THET ARE FOR THEM OR FOR THIEVES IN SUITS! IN Tanzania's CCM, now 50 years in power, that Local Village Committee is all powerful, my friend! Committee Eta ku vet bwana,🤷‍♂️! These Local Village Commttes- Lc1(formeely Resistance Council committees-1s) also VET SOLDIERS who protect this country and some raise to be CIC; Ministers, CDFs,etc. If Local commtte and its Councilors can vet a President, why can't they VET an MP, a Minister? An Ambassador, if it be the policy of that organization, or government? I hope hon. Ssemuju lives to see the day of POWER OF THE COUNCILORS/ORDINARY VOTER, THE PEASANT, THE HAWKER! It took Obote many years because he was shielded by the army;first Amin, then Oyite, and also his friend Nyerere. But then, like is always with KARMA; he came face to face with IT IN THOSE JUNGLES OF LUWEERO; negubula asala! TRASH THE POWER OF THE ORDINARY PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

Gen. @mugishamuntu Muntu: “I am here sober, as I was in the CDF, and I worship nothing but God. If you want leadership you can be proud of, leave those intoxicated by power, money, and guns. Don’t love me—trust in my integrity. Love whomever you wish. I will not pander to what excites you; I will speak only the truth. Politicians often study you and tell you what will excite you, but what you must know is that politics is driven by interests.” via @newvisionwire

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Receive direction from this scripture to stay with your assignment. The scripture means you shouldn’t be ashamed of your assignment. To stand before kings, settle down on your job and behave as though it is the only job in the world and the only thing you are living for. That way, kings will begin to desire your presence!
