I’m proud to have supported Miracle Rankin for the Georgia Supreme Court. Tonight did not go the way I hoped. I’m disappointed, and I won’t pretend otherwise. But I also want to congratulate Justice Bethel on his re-election. Elections matter, voters decide, and public service deserves respect even when we disagree. Miracle ran because she believes in justice, fairness, and the promise that our courts should serve the people. I was proud to support her, and I’m grateful to everyone who showed up for this race. Georgia has TWO Supreme Court races on Tuesday that could completely reshape the state’s future. The court is currently 9 Republicans to 0 Democrats. If Miracle Rankin and Jen Jordan both win, Democrats would suddenly have a path to a 5-4 majority by 2028.

We just learned that Georgia is moving forward with gerrymandering for 2028. There is an extreme movement in this country that will stop at nothing to hold on to power, even if it means stripping representation away from millions. I will fight this with everything I have.
