@tyromper @russlhall Listened to one of Fr Mike's talks recently, and he said we should allow ourselves to be held by God in our shame and our pain. Just what I needed to hear at the time. Definitely in his fan club!

The other day I was hanging out with a friend. This friend is a Christian, but he doesn’t always act, speak or think like one. Some days, he is completely in-line with God’s path and some days, his life is a struggle that gets the best of him. As our eyes met, I really wanted to say something about it, but I decided to let the Lord speak to his heart, knowing nothing that I say will have the same impact as the Father’s words. So…. I prayed with him, and after some time had passed, I winked, & walked away from the mirror. I try everyday, and I fail everyday. I am not close to perfect, I am a work in progress, and I'm thankful for God’s grace and His promises to His believers. I am that MAN & so are you. Let’s extend the same grace to OURSELVES that we do to others. Stop letting shame & guilt overtake you. You’re always ONE PRAYER AWAY FROM BEING RENEWED. Or as @zachhomol_ used to say to me “STOP BEING SO MEAN TO YOURSELF.”

No doubting his potential - and pretty sure he’s playing through injury - but Rasmus Hojlund didn’t offer anywhere near enough today until 100+ mins. Poor hold up + link play and wanted too much time on the ball in the box. Chris Wood/Weghorst would’ve been more effective…

@africatechie @leon_sandjong @Starlink True for those locations close to the landing points, like Douala. How do you get the fast internet speeds to Bertoua and Mora? Whatever technology you use (microwave, fibre,..) will need engineers to set up and maintain. That's where the cookie crumbles.

@leon_sandjong @Starlink Actually, our undersea fiber capacities are already here but are barely tapped into. A simple decision of increasing just that capacity will have a positive impact overnight.

What is sad in this whole @Starlink debate is that in most places where it is approved, it's not the best and least expensive solution, especially not for businesses. When it rains hard, the service is severely impacted. It's used primarily for remote locations that don't have access to proper fibre or 4G/5G. But in places like Cameroon where internet service is mediocre at best, Starlink emerges as this incredible savior! People experienced internet as it's supposed to be for the first time! While I hope that the 🇨🇲 government will approve Starlink, at least provisionally. The real solution is in improving our fibre capacity. We have the technology, let's use it! #UnleashOurInternet

@_Coach_Cam I have always wondered why it is soooo easy to dribble past Man Utd players. This applies to most of our players, shockingly! Thank you for illustrating why so clearly.

either with an inaccurate pass or through the impending tackle. With an impossible choice, #mufc's Mainoo opts for the pass - Liverpool duly intercept + counter. Erik Ten Hag's setup doesn't just facilitate 1v1 matchups, it relies upon them so an inability to do the basics

🧵The Difference: Mac Allister vs Bruno👇 This season, #mufc have conceded a huge volume of chances on transition. Whilst partly down to Erik Ten Hag's structure, the biggest issue by far is 1v1 defending... ➡️Here's the WHY and the difference it really makes.

@markgoldbridge If we had a mobile ball-winning midfielder (e.g. Amadou Onana), that alone would improve this current team by at least 15%. Case's legs are beyond gone!

This was one of the key rising cognitive dissonances within me, unfortunately, deep into my relationship. This internal monologue began to arise, “She’s never communicated anything remotely endearing, revealing, or intimate as to how/why she loves me.” Everything centered around me keeping her temper at bay and “making” her happy. We would watch a movie together and someone would be displaying/articulating their love for someone, and I would think in my head, “She’s never said anything remotely like that to me, ever.” I confused her happiness with my appeasement with love. Once I began to realize this (I still didn’t know it’s name, Narcissism) the dissonance increased and increased. “She has to love me, we’re married and have a child, she just has a different way of showing it, because she didn’t see her parents show each other affection.” When I finally got into therapy, my therapist asked me to take a piece of paper and write down the pros and cons of my relationship with her. When I strained to find pros I thought, “Am I really that judgmental or hard to please that I can’t think of anything besides a few outward things: how she dresses, that she’s fit, or that she’s festive during the holidays.” Once I finally discovered Covert Narcissistic Personality Disorder, everything, and I mean everything, began to make sense. Horrifying, cold, calculated, and devoid sense. 2 years on, and I’m still trying to heal from all the compounding damage of spending 10 years with a Covert Narcissist, 3 years with a Borderline, and being raised in a Narcissistic Family System. Some days, it feels like I’ll never know what it’s like to be healthy again. To have a healthy partner, friend group, and extended family to fill the void of my non-functioning one (dysfunctional would be too kind). Yet, I hold out hope that the pain and strife will one day be a distant memory, and I’ll spend my latter years filled with love, kindness, and mutual support. At least now I know its name, so I never have to allow it back in my life willingly ever again.

Tell me no Lies 💔❤️‍🩹➡️❤️🥰🌹💪🏻🚫Narcissists🚫
Ask what they ‘love’ about you. A more narcissistic person might answer like this- “I love how you make me feel. I love how you bring me breakfast in bed. I love how you take care of me. I don’t know why I love you, I just do!” A response like that is all about them and what you do…FOR them. They can love the things you do but they should also love you for you. “I love your sense of humor. I love how kind you are. I love how your smile lights up a room” P.s. If they give a more narcissistic response, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a narcissist. Look at how they treat you too. Not everyone is good at verbal expressions of love.

@Mayor_ofph @markgoldbridge Wan Bisakka jogging out slowly and playing everyone onside. Then everyone piles in towards the ball, not marking, and leave a nice big space in front of goal. How many goals have Utd conceded from pull backs this season?

@centredevils Stop that nonsense talk, my friend! Are you the 1st one to play no 10 position? Yes, u need to take more risks there, but u refuse to take simpler options when we badly need to retain possession, careless with the ball in our defensive 3rd, silly fouls in dangerous positions.

🚨🚨🎙️| Bruno Fernandes: “People say ‘Bruno needs to keep the ball more', but obviously if I'm playing in position 10 and the ball goes between the lines and I spin... and when the ball goes between the lines it's because the pressure was high.” “At the moment in which I turn, the pressure is on my back and I can't go back, because if I go back I'll meet the pressure. The ball comes and I can play support or simply keep it and go to the wing.”

Finally a comfortable lead at HT!✅ Great defending in the air, some nice passing sequences. Players just not quite good enough to do it continuously - too much sloppiness. Casemiro…💩

@centredevils I get it City players are better technically with the ball. But why are we worse at pressing and marking?? Every time any of our players show a bit of composure (mainly Kobbie & Dalot), spaces appear in City's backline. We could take this with a bit of bravery & concentration!

@tyromper Genuine question Tyler: you can work and improve yourself as a man, but what do you do if your partner is a narcissist? I don't mean just that you think she is a narcissist, but a counsellor who has tried to help you both also thinks she is? Give me hope please 🙏🏾

In parts of the Roman Empire, husbands and wives could have a LEGAL fight, called a MARITAL DUEL, to solve their arguments. The husband fought in a hole & with one arm tied down. The wife could move around freely but had to carry weighted cloth. Her weapon was a bag filled with rocks. He got three clubs but if he touched the hole's edge during the fight, he lost a club. Before the fight, couples were given a month or two to try and solve their problems. If they couldn't agree, then the DUEL would happen. If the husband lost, his head would be cut off. If the wife lost, she would be buried alive. And this was all LEGAL.

Let it be on record that a withdrawal from ECOWAS is a vote of no-confidence on Nigeria - the predominant power in ECOWAS - and its leader who is the current ECOWAS chair. It took West Africa 48 years to build ECOWAS. It took a drug dealer just 8 months to destroy it. Congrats.

@ThreadmanChaza Basic principles of pressing totally lacking. Garnacho & Hojlund both go towards keeper with the ball at his feet & easy passing options: 2 forwards taken out. Rashford leaves right back & goes with Rasmus to press their defender: simple pass and we are scrambling defensively!
