Prime Minister Mark Carney and his government are determined to work constructively both in the House and in parliamentary committees. There is an undeniable, long-standing principle in Parliament: a party that has the majority of seats in the House also has a majority in committees. Yesterday @ronmortgageguy reminded Canadians of a time when normal people with a proper job could save their money, get a mortgage, and buy home in which to raise a family. This normal middle class expectation disappeared during the 10.5 years the Liberals have governed Canada.

Today The King and Queen were joined by other members of the Royal Family at the British Museum to view a scale model of the new national memorial to commemorate the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses met memorial designer Lord Norman Foster as well as the three artists producing work for the site. The model will remain on public display at the British Museum.
The tribute will overlook The Mall in central London, and is inspired by the 1955 portrait of the Queen at age 28 by Italian artist Pietro Annigon.

🪴The Princess Royal has officially opened The Queen Elizabeth II Garden in The Regent’s Park, London.
The space commemorates the life and service of Queen Elizabeth II - and today would have been Her late Majesty’s 100th birthday.
During the visit, The Princess met gardeners and designers involved with the project, before unveiling a plaque to mark the garden’s official opening.

The King and Queen, together with members of The Royal Family, have hosted a reception in honour of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
Amongst guests were representatives of The late Queen’s former charities and patronages, as well as some very special centenarians, who are celebrating their 100th birthday today.
🎂 It was a delight to come together and share memories from the past 100 years!
