@BocaBola_ And they are STILL making excuses and neckbearding. "You are not listening" "Its KDE not Linux" "Its the distribution you chose"

Seeing the Linux community response on this is classic neck beard shit. For those wondering what happened it played out like this -I woke computer from sleep - 1 of my 2 monitors didn’t boot, I then noticed it was frozen in my other monitor -tried getting to terminal/dekstop/any sign of life but couldn’t - held the power button to reboot - it then failed to boot, often spitting out errors related to KDE I spent a couple hours looking online for this error, following some guides that seemed decent but ultimately couldn’t get it to work Not everyone is a Linux expert, Windows has its issues also. It’s not a black and white issue. Thanks for joining my Ted talk

KDE plasma nuked itself and now I have no gaming computer…. I’ll be reinstalling everything now cause I’m not smart enough to fix this. But i still won’t go back to Windows

@SGTWipper1Each @F14TomcatTurkey Uh, let's see: High maintenance requirements and expensive as fuck to maintain. Airframe aging issues. Avionics issues (lack of upgradability, versus the F-15 and F-16) Need for better multirole on carriers

@mouw5284 @EthanLevins2 Does @EthanLevins2 bitch and moan when the orcs kill dozens of civilians in Ukraine when Ruzzia targets apartment buildings and schools? Nah, of course not, he is a Ruzzian shill. An utter scumbag. A phony.

The US is currently moving to newer nuclear power generation technologies versus large plants. TerraPower's Natrium under construction in Wyoming (~345 MW) Kairos Power's Hermes in Tennessee (50 MW test facility) Holtec SMR-300 at Palisades in Michigan (300 MW) And others like X-Energy, NuScale and Oklo Aurora

China currently has 60 operational commercial reactors and is actively building at least 37 more. This is accounting for more than half of all new nuclear construction globally, the country's streamlined approval process and standardized designs allow developers to build dozens of reactors simultaneously. Meanwhile how many reactors is the US building?

China just completed a heliostat plant in the desert It will: >power 170k homes a year >save 130k tons of carbon emissions annually >most likely get really hot Meanwhile the US is getting a ballroom.

@LinusEkenstam @GreatSageCorban No, the Chinese CSP's currently run no more than 200 MW per plant. The Ivanpah was 392 MW. News flash, the Chinese have the same exact issues with wildlife (minus the tortoise) and water consumption. But China doesn't care if a few thousand have no water.

@GreatSageCorban Good thing the chinese are building them in the dessert where few migrating birds are getting in the way. Also the chinese ones are way bigger and more powerful FYI.

High operating and maintenance costs. We already know China doesn't give two shits about its workers so shoving them in "housing" on grounds is AOK with them. Like "standard" solar, there is no effective storage of produced power. The US facility (Ivanpah SPF) was built when PV panels were near 2 TIMES the cost they are now. So its cheaper and easier to do PV.

@LinusEkenstam The US had these decades ago. They are mostly useless versus standard solar or even wind.
