@SwampStain @BrysonGray @j_zhong1611 Saw three men? So, three separate beings?
No where in the text does it explain the consubstantiality of The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost.
So if it isn’t there, why would it be necessary to believe in for salvation?
English

@BrysonGray @j_zhong1611 Genesis 18, “1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself…”

@GideonEightySix @Ava_AM12ff I agree that most people will try and fit their presuppositions into the text. I try not to. My preferred translation is the NRSVue.
English

@ExiledScot95 @Ava_AM12ff read the original Hebrew, context of both the time of period and writer. It is clearly obvious the translation used the incorrect words. Most translations differ from the NIV version.
My problem is people will do anything, and twist the words around to support their narrative
English

@Konstantine_val @Ava_AM12ff I’m not disagreeing with you.. I agree with my own original post.
This is a huge problem for Protestants, which I think the guy in the video is.
English

@ExiledScot95 @Ava_AM12ff It’s a really complex book translated from ancient languages that were complex (especially ancient Hebrew). Go look at Protestant churches and see the heresy that spreads without the structure of the church
English

@Konstantine_val @Ava_AM12ff So you agree? The Bible is the word of God as far as it’s translated correctly, and your qualifier is that that guidance can only come through the Catholic Church?
English

@ExiledScot95 @Ava_AM12ff This is why priests are a thing and why the church was very strict with translations
English

@GaryMukendi @Ava_AM12ff Did you not catch that read two different translations. One stated rape, the other pre marital sex. I believe the two translations were the NIV (hers) and the KJV (his).
English

@ExiledScot95 @Ava_AM12ff He translated nothing just reading a few verses prior to show the context.

@Joshua_the_car @megynkelly @ggreenwald It isn’t much of an achievement to have someone as reasonable as Glen agree with the claim you made.
The turd I dropped this morning was the best turd I dropped all month… it may be the best.. but a turd it is nonetheless.
English

@megynkelly @ggreenwald I especially enjoyed the part where he agreed with my claim! Happy to join you anytime to talk about it Megyn
English

.@ggreenwald is so damned smart and absolutely crushed it on Jubilee. Really enjoying the clips. Very proud of you GG!
English

I find it very telling that Glenn Greenwald didn’t upload a clip of him debating me or @nick_matau
I wonder why?

@sola_chad Not one apostle taught that the biblical text is the infallible word of God.
Not one apostle taught the consubstantiality of the triune god.
English

Not one apostle taught anyone to pray to Mary.

@Manhattva Bro, I'm trying to figure out what to do about that too 😅
Like, what is the most effective method of turning the other cheek online?
English

The timeline of Nephi being told to kill Laban would be Old Testament… so to be consistent you should be asking for Old Testament verses, not the New. Unless of course, you don’t care about being intellectually consistent and only care about seemingly “dunking” on Mormons to any dimwit that follows you.
English

@bobsaget2018 Can you show me in the New Testament where Christian morality allows for murders, polygamy, or lying?
English

You guys in or what! Let’s do it.. don’t let cognitive dissonance win
