The Turkish government’s decision to publicly reaffirm support for @HassanSMohamud immediately after the expiration of his constitutional mandate, at a moment when Somalia faces a contested political transition and no agreed electoral framework, sends a deeply troubling political signal. Somalis have long valued the historic relationship with Türkiye, built on solidarity and mutual respect. That relationship must remain anchored in support for the Somali people, constitutional governance, and inclusive political consensus, not personalized alignment with a single political figure during a fragile and contested transition. Somalia’s stability cannot be sustained through external endorsement of expired mandates or concentration of power. Durable peace and stability require legitimacy, broad political agreement, accountable institutions, and public trust.

I en civilisation som faktiskt förtjänar namnet Homo sapiens skulle man gratulera Bulgarien till segern och glädjas åt Israels andraplats. Istället har palestinaaktivismen förvandlat hela evenemanget till ett primitivt hatspel: hat mot judar och Israel från Hamas-hejarna på ena sidan, och äkta kärlek till liv, musik och mänsklighet på den andra. Nu sitter samma grupper och kallar Sveriges förlust för ett fiasko. Det riktiga fiaskot är vad de har lyckats förvandla Eurovision till - ett färgglatt monument över hat. Frågan är bara när mainstreammedia och den del av journalistkåren som rider med inser att de har placerat sig själva utanför civilisationen.
