Thomas Massie at the Supreme Court this morning:
“The White House Chief of Staff worked for a lobbying firm that accepted money from Monsanto/Bayer. And that is wrong.”
This is the same Bayer that spent $9 million lobbying Congress to eliminate liability for Roundup cancer victims.
The same Susie Wiles. The same Pam Bondi.
Massie has been saying this for months.
Nobody in Washington wants to hear it.

Rep. Thomas Massie just slammed Bayer-Monsanto for waging war on Americans:
“They’re attacking our executive branch.”
“Our legislative branch.”
“And the courts.”
“What do they want?”
“They want get-out-of-court free cards.”
Rep. Massie partnered with Democratic Rep. Chellie Pingree to propose the No Immunity for Glyphosate Act and protect farmers’ right to sue when they’re harmed by pesticides.
But the Supreme Court is also about to decide whether to grant immunity for Monsanto and other pesticide companies:
“Is the Supreme Court today… going to gag state judges?”
“Are they going to disband state juries?”
“Are they going to shutter the state courts where justice should be served?”
“And if they do, are they proposing to hear these cases on their own?”
“No.”
“They’re proposing that nobody gets any justice.”
“This is regulatory capture. It is corrupt.”

The idea of “low-tax” red states is a myth. Lower-income and working-class people pay higher taxes in Texas than in California. Middle-class people pay about the same in both states. Rich people pay much lower taxes in Texas.

6 years of living in Texas and I've come to the conclusion that the no state income tax thing is basically a scam. The property taxes are so high that they negate any savings. We are still paying as many taxes in Texas as we would in California. You save on gas I guess.
