Given our Prime Minister Modi's escapades, would have loved to support Italy at the World Cup but alas.

@FPL_Chase Sounds exciting. I won't get my hopes up then. Mourinho back feels like a transition destined for disaster again. Is the thinking he will sort out the dressing room?

@FPLStone I think he is excellent at quickly installing a positional system in which players tend to create a lot of chances for themselves through passing patterns. Def line is dangerously high, but we were 7 pts clear at the top scoring a lot. That was apparent straight from the CWC.

The worst thing about all this AI slop design is that we're all collectively getting dumber. How are we supposed to believe that's Nico O'Reilly and not the baby of Rico Lewis and Manuel Akanji? I pay a crazy amount of money every year to use real photos from real photographers, and these people just scrape their work to generate stupid brain rot with zero ethics.

@rajsinghchohan Thinking he can win every tackle is his biggest weakness. Doesn't seem to realise tackling from the wrong side and making contact with the player first will always be a foul even if he wins the ball

Consistently making good risk assessments of knowing when you have a high chance of winning the ball and when you do not, is everything as a defensive midfielder. “Ball-winning” in isolation without this context, doesn’t actually mean anything valuable.

@Phantomantle I think they've looked nervy even in the first half against spurs and it's the sort of unexpected game we turn up in. Interested to see what he goes with compared to the Carabao second leg

Positives: Rosenior is currently unbeaten in the league (and Champions League, which is irrelevant) Negatives: the only side he's lost to is the side we play Sunday. 💙

@lateriser12 I think Chalobah's been our best defender this year with constantly rotating partners. 9 clean sheets, 3 goals, 1 assist. Seems he's being oddly attacked for being a poor defender who picks up Defcons (not by you particularly but you're the third person I've seen single him out)

Coming on Twitter to see people talking about increasing points for DEFCON which doesn't necessarily have a direct correlation with 'good defending', doing mathematics like DEFCON/90 and not talking about football. Free points handed out so you don't have to focus on goals, assists and cleansheets. Case in point is an autopick like Anderson matching Semenyo who does goals and Chalobah getting points despite conceding goals. I truly despise it. But hey, This is FPL.

@GeorgeSmileyOBE Agree but I think it's hard to blame him on this one. Don't think Leeds had a shot before the brainless penalty. Even after only had a couple and should have been handball. Chased well late on and would be getting praised again if Palmer doesn't have miss of the season

Liam Rosenior is a highly promising young coach as he proved at Derby, Hull, Strasbourg and with six wins in eight games at Chelsea. He thinks deeply about the game. He’s obviously a very intelligent person. He’s also worked in the media. So Rosenior should be smart enough to avoid observations that lead to headlines unhelpful to him and his players. Coaches, especially goalkeeping ones, do step into the opposition half to deliver long kicks to warm up their keeper. It happens often. Crossing the halfway line isn’t crossing the line. The media was always going to pick up Rosenior’s spiky comments towards Arsenal staff at the time – TV cameras everywhere, let alone fans filming the warm-up at the Emirates – and then follow up in his press conference yesterday. Rosenior talked about “respect” and, however nuanced he might have been, and respectful towards Mikel Arteta, it was always going to lead to large headlines screaming antagonism towards Arsenal. The whole incident made Rosenior look a bit weak, rather than strong. It seems a minor issue to look rattled about anyway. Rise above it. Rosenior may not care about the headlines, and some Chelsea fans may love his cocksure attitude, but it serves as fuel to the fire of opponents, it creates unnecessary negativity around him and he could use more of that time also bigging up his own team. He spoke about Cole Palmer. So speak more about what a special player he is. Accentuate positives about your own team, not throw negatives at others. Especially when they’ve just beaten you home and away. #CFC

@ThreeFiveWho I agree and Delap RW was unfathomable. Feel he was a little limited with his options though. I think if James, Neto, Palmer, Estevao, Gittens available from the start he goes with 3 of those

It was a weirdly conservative set-up with a weirdly contained approach to a game that you had to win that, even if you want to justify the logic behind (contain opening 60;attack last 30), failed miserably because Chelsea didn’t create anything

Im really confused to see people arguing that Rosenior was tactically smart to go to Arsenal, needing a win and: - play a back 5 with 3 central midfielders - start no natural wingers with pace to threaten on the break - have 2 shots on target the whole game - create 0.17xGOT

@FPLStone @PremLeaguePanel Marc Cucurella alone provided 5 PL goals and 2 assists last season Cucurella is a goal scoring threat and Gusto is a crossing threat. I’d argue they’re just as good

Gusto & Cucurella are not threatening enough to play wing-back. To use them as wing-backs alongside 3 CBs,was overkill from Rosenior. Man Utd showed how best to play Arsenal by defending deeper but still having speed/threat in wide areas & overloads/technical quality in midfield.

@JTElCapitano @PremLeaguePanel They provided 9 goals and 6 assists that season. Alonso had a real goal scoring threat and Moses was a winger. I think it's a completely fair point and the game potentially looks very different with James and Neto as the wing backs last night

@sky_valley87 @FPL_TomHadley Fingernail offside last week and subbed 5 minutes later this week and he's at least 10 points better off. Very harsh swing. Bombing out after the next 2 though for sure
