If you are a 10 handicap or less here are 3 things I would spend time on before overhauling your swing to get better: -Strokes gained analysis and course management -Equipment -Strength/Mobility/Nutrition

@RobbyBerger Every one goes through a shank experience. Try hitting some toe shots to shift the club face. For anyone else, StrikeLabHQ.com is a great swing analysis tool to check out. It takes a video of your swing and prescribes targeted drills

I’m shanking 50% of the golf balls I hit at the moment. Very concerning percentage from the field.

@drakesmith__ First totally agree on your view. Plus a few things for me - player commentary on shot decision or strategy - cart conversations with Bryson and Steph/josh Allen are great ways to get insight the mind of elite athletes - pace - you’re seeing 18 holes in 60-90 minutes

YouTube golf, here is why I think it is so popular. "Top 3 Things" to pay attention to. I watched Bryson Dechambeau take on Oakmont yesterday. My take away was you get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly. They show every shot which humanizes them and I think is a lot more beneficial than your typical golf coverage. Watching a Tour event on TV leaves you with the impression they never miss because they are showing the top 5 guys who are playing their best golf of the year. Watching the raw footage of The Bryan Bros or Bryson you get to see world class golfers make mistakes as well as how they handle them. Top 3 things to pay attention to: -Good golf is boring -The best in the world hits bad shots. -"Where can I miss this?" is often the first question asked. I am curios what you think?

@manosaie Agree - memory/context also seems to struggle between the two. I'm sure there's some structural changes they are working on to make this seamless.

Claude Cowork is powerful and I'd like to use it for more but the current IA + navigation is confusing and hard to learn One concrete example: I keep getting lost between projects that I've set up in Chat vs. Cowork. I understand how they are different but using the same primitive container name in two different contexts is disorienting

@SashoMacKenzie @TheStackSystem @jertybird @Fit_For_Golf Just wanted to drop this here…Seriously thanks for the coaching on this and the stack wedge feature. Two rounds this weekend and I felt so much more dialed in especially in that 50-80yard range where previously I was guessing. This one was within 6 inches

@FairwayFocused @TheStackSystem @jertybird @Fit_For_Golf I also do most of my practice into a net. For me it’s all about associating a feel to the yardage. For all shots <80 yards with my 58deg, I try to feel “the same effort” and just modify backswing length. It mirrors my approach to generating speed in putting.

I had a legit shot at reaching Level 100 yesterday but couldn’t quite pull it off. Still, hitting Level 97 while playing at Level 80 is a big personal best. Distance control is starting to feel dialled heading into the season. Premier Mode in Stack Wedge automatically curates your next combine to match your current ability—maximizing both practice enjoyment and improvement.

@robbiehendricks In a world/culture focused on consumerism and debt, it's a stark contrast that Ramsey is putting out there. People argue it's not the perfect system but it's better than the alternative!

One of my friends has followed the Dave Ramsey debt snowball plan to the letter. Attends every annual conference. Proud Ramsey advocate. Early 40s. Husband is a cop. Couple kids. Just a great, red-blooded Ohio family. Probably makes $200k/year as a household (just a guess). Over the last 10 years: • Paid off house • Paid off cars • 529s funded for kids • On track to retire around 55 Now look, I’m obviously a debt-user and advocate for going out there and building wealth. The Ramsey plan is not a character fit for me, as I’m admittedly wired very ambitious, and enjoy investing, building my business, and taking on that responsibility (and risk). But these folks are doing better than 90% of the country - in a stress free manner - simply by: • Finding a plan • Sticking to the plan • Not increasing expenses as income and savings grow Something to be said for that, I think. Stuck to their guns, didn’t care that it was “boring”. Didn’t listen to other people telling them to be more aggressive. Very happy for them.

@Golfingbrock The enjoy the play in me says 54 holes. Probably go 36 in a row at a nice 2 hour pace each, take a nice break. Mess around with some chipping/bunker play and finalize another 18 If I'm speed racing, I'm thinking ~100 holes

Serious question: You have 12 hours, a cart, snacks, and a wide-open golf course. How many holes could you play?

@adamyounggolf Just have to say - bought the strike plan ~2 weeks ago and my range sessions have completely transformed Already seeing the proper ball flight on the range and it's translating to the course. This is after years of trying to fix my issues with a technical approach. Thanks Adam!

@rossmacleodputt Yeah honestly I’m more concerned with their business strategy of putting everything into a subscription model. Them locking the new range finder behind a $199 sub per year on top of the $199 shot detection is not a good sign of what’s to come.

Now that Arccos have got rid of sensors people are saying they were bad. I use Shotscope with sensors and don’t even notice them. Why are the sensors bad? Is this something a lot of people say? Whatever product they use.

@hutch_golf @Nickolgolf Super stoked about this, have found the sensors to be a bit annoying with twisting off and become loose. Can you share more on how it detects what club was hit? Is it based on the distance? More so my own curiosity than anything else

In my time at Arccos, this is the thing I’m most proud of having contributed to. Tracking your shots without needing sensors on your clubs is a wild technical challenge. I can’t tell you how many versions of this we built over the last several years before we felt we had it right. A couple clarifications… - iOS only (for now) - New members can use the link I shared below - Existing users with a Link Pro / Air device can just take the sensors off your clubs and you’ll be good to go - In your settings, you can ask AI to auto tag your clubs or you can manually do it if it’s important to you. Strokes gained doesn’t care what club you hit. Lmk any questions!

@chamath Just listened to this weeks pod. I’m shocked how opposed to your view the rest of the besties are. Companies are investing ahead as a perceived necessity to stay relevant. We won’t know the true winners/losers until several years from now.
