Very much true. That's exactly why we opened sign-ups to HW3 owners without FSD as well. Tesla's hardware promise went out to everyone who bought the car, not just those who added the FSD package. Under EU law that's false absolutely advertising, and plenty of owners have a valid position here. More on that in today's update: hw3claim.nl/en/email/2000-…

I thought I was pissed off about my €6.400. Turns out 2.250+ owners across 33 countries are pissed off about €6 million. In 3 days. Tesla has 6 days until earnings.

The promise: same hardware, software updates will unlock full autonomy. Just wait. I waited 7 years. SEVEN years! Last week the RDW finally approved FSD here. And for HW3 owners? Nothing. Radio silence. ~4 million cars worldwide. So I stopped waiting and built hw3claim.nl to bundle Dutch HW3 owners for a collective claim. 36 sign-ups in 24 hours. No ads. Sign up if you're a Dutch HW3 + FDS owner too. €6.800 buys a lot of patience. Mine ran out.

🟥 Putin się cofa! Moskwa zapłaci Baku za katastrofę lotniczą Azerbejdżan i Rosja ogłosiły, że osiągnęły porozumienie w sprawie odszkodowań po katastrofie samolotu pasażerskiego AZAL, który rozbił się 25 grudnia 2024 roku w pobliżu Aktau. Embraer 190 leciał z Baku do Groznego, został uszkodzony w rosyjskiej przestrzeni powietrznej i rozbił się już w Kazachstanie. Zginęło 38 osób. Kwoty i szczegółowe warunki nie zostały ujawnione. Najważniejsze jest jednak to, że oficjalnie potwierdzono: samolot rozbił się po oddziaływaniu rosyjskich systemów obrony powietrznej.

@ManuelSZ18 @earcos @elonmusk So if a car seller gives you false promises before you buy and after you pay for the car and use it for some time, they back away, you're totally fine with this? It's false advertising and it's a crime in EU.

No hay explicación alguna que justifique que millones de personas compraron coches y/o pagaron entre 7.000 y 15.000 dólares/euros por el paquete de conducción autónoma total y hoy no pueden instalarlo por tener el HW3 en sus coches. No, comprar otro Tesla no es la solución. No, recibir un descuento por el cambio tampoco lo es. Ni la transferencia gratuita del paquete de FSD. Todo eso es un insulto al consumidor y un comentario ultra elitista. Comprar coches no es cambiar un iPhone cada año. Muchos de nosotros hemos comprado un Tesla porque el material de marketing de la compañía nos ha vendido por años que, apenas la regulación lo permita, tendremos FSD en nuestros coches. En Países Bajos ya hay miles de propietarios decepcionados con sus Tesla, que no han recibido la actualización para activar la conducción autónoma, porque tienen el HW3 en sus coches, aún pagando el paquete de software, que actualmente tiene un precio altísimo de 7500 euros. No hay justificación alguna a lo que está sucediendo. Tal vez en EEUU, con el marco regulatorio propio, donde las protecciones al consumidor no son, necesariamente, a nivel federal sino a nivel estatal, es más difícil conseguir una respuesta por parte de Tesla. Pero en Europa es otra historia. Las leyes que protegen al consumidor son clarísimas. Y Tesla tiene que cumplir lo que nos h a prometido a millones de propietarios europeos. No hay matices.

@shamshy1 @niccruzpatane I'm one of them, was promised miracles when I bought the car. Elon promised HW3 will be enough for unsupervised FSD, it only requires software updates. Now they tell me, get lost, buy a new Tesla if you want FSD.

Elon has answered this question before. Via Q4 2024 Earnings Call: "We are going to have to upgrade Hardware 3 for people who bought FSD. That’s the honest answer. It’s going to be painful and difficult but that’s what we’re going to have to do." Tesla hasn’t forgot about HW3 Tesla customers.

@JonBbC_TechGeek So? I already see an answer to this from Tesla, v14 Lite we're working on it, no dates and deadlines we need to solve unsupervised first, bla bla bla. Another 5 years will pass and HW3 cars will start hitting the junk yard.

@sobieski902 @TashaARK Supervised FSD is vastly safer than human driving. Unsupervised FSD is trending well. Over time, Version 12 (end-to-end neural nets) will far exceed human safety even when unsupervised.

@wholemars Recent approval in Netherlands was strictly for HW4. So v14 Lite won't change anything, still old hardware. This will have to be re-tested and re-approved which is not certain. Also what Lite means? For me it sounds like less safety.

As much as Tesla does well, they absolutely handled this in an awful, awful way. And these FSD customers are right to feel not only frustrated. And I'm actually wondering why there's no class action lawsuit in the US coming, too. Absolutely fair to sue them and judge this in a court of law. And as a stock-holder: how are they leaving this huge market of HW3 just untapped? Millions of potential subscription customers. Do something please.
