It's only happening in RBR because It's wider, the car's more unstable and probably due to Verstappen being more agressive on the brakes relative to Hadjar.

@NesBMas @F1BigData It's if you win from pole. Granted Lewis's wins and pole numbers are very similar - Lewis had more poles in his mclaren days and the wins caught up post 2017/2018 really as he only got like 4 or 5 poles to I think 11 wins in 2019 for example

Keep in mind Hamilton was in the dirty air and went off the racing line when fighting Rus and Ver?

I was pretty concerned by the Silverstone race pace originally, but seeing that Lewis had 5 clicks added to his front wing in the pit stop then was immediately way faster has calmed that down a lot It is frustrating though, these setup mistakes can decide championships

@FarthingGary @friedalcrafts @TrackSimsF1 Nah it’s more to do with them nailing the energy recovery part, even after Qualifying lots of people were questioning how Ferrari able to recover so much energy compared to everyone else, as for peak performance Mercedes and Ford still have the better ICE.

Truly shocking how much better Ferrari's top speeds were at Silverstone compared to everyone else.

🔴 Ferrari : la victoire de Leclerc à Silverstone est le fruit d'un excellent travail d'équipe et du pilote. - Leclerc a disputé une course de très haut niveau. Le Monégasque a progressivement évolué pour devenir un pilote au rythme élevé et constant. Il disposait clairement d’une voiture réglée dans sa plage de fonctionnement idéale, qu’il a retrouvée après un travail considérable en coulisses, sur tous les aspects, et qui a également donné lieu à certains choix de réglages, notamment mécaniques, sur la SF-26, qui lui ont redonné la confiance dont il avait besoin pour réaliser une performance d’un tel niveau. Le premier relais a fait la différence face à un Hamilton en difficulté avec un équilibre trop sous-vireur de sa SF-26 et lui a permis de creuser l’écart sur le peloton. Au début du deuxième relais, avec des pneus durs, on avait plutôt l’impression que Leclerc gardait quelque chose en réserve pour être prêt à la bataille roue contre roue qui s’annonçait avec Antonelli. En somme, un Leclerc parfait, qui semble avoir enfin compris comment dompter la SF-26 et qui a mérité cette victoire tant par ses choix que par son exécution. - La superbe performance de Leclerc n’aurait toutefois pas suffi si elle n’avait pas été accompagnée d’une Ferrari bien au-delà des attentes les plus optimistes, y compris celles des ingénieurs de Maranello eux-mêmes. Les ingénieurs ont manifestement compris une série d’aspects clés qui n’étaient pas aussi clairs pour les autres écuries. La stratégie de gestion de l’énergie tout au long du tour adoptée par la SF-26, sur un circuit aussi complexe à cet égard que Silverstone, s’est immédiatement révélée la plus efficace et a fait école, après que les adversaires ont pu la voir mise en œuvre lors de la qualification sprint. Mais ce n’est pas tout : l’équilibre mis en piste a toujours été optimal, associé à une double approche pour atteindre la performance maximale : sous le capot, la puissance disponible a clairement augmenté, grâce à une utilisation évidente du premier pack ADUO apporté en Autriche, mais aussi à une map hybride beaucoup plus agressive. D’autre part, la résistance à l’avancement de la voiture a considérablement diminué, grâce à un ensemble comprenant un package aérodynamique et le choix de renoncer à quelques points de charge. - Pour Ferrari, renoncer à une partie de la charge était certainement un risque en vue de la course, mais la qualité du châssis de la SF-26 se voit également à l’excellente réaction de la voiture, même face à ces choix de réglages plus risqués. La confirmation de cette approche est toutefois venue d’une interview de Leclerc dans laquelle il a déclaré : « Nous avons un aileron différent de tous les autres, ce qui nous permet d’être rapides mais sans pouvoir doubler ». En examinant les données de tout le week-end, on a l’impression qu’il faisait précisément référence au tronçon entre Stowe et Vale, où il n’était pas autorisé d’ouvrir les ailerons mais où les vitesses des Ferrari étaient toujours parmi les plus élevées en piste. La SF-26 est donc passée d’une monoplace moins puissante et très aérodynamiquement résistante à une voiture présentant un déficit de puissance réduit et une résistance aérodynamique inférieure à celle de presque toutes les autres en piste. Une voiture extrêmement rapide, presque la plus rapide en piste, qui, étant également la plus fiable, a remporté la course, frôlant même le doublé. - En somme, en termes de qualité du projet, Ferrari reste la seule à pouvoir rivaliser avec les Mercedes et, pour l'instant, elle semble capable d'en battre une des deux. Elle n'est donc pas encore la première force absolue. Mais, à Silverstone, elle a démontré qu'elle n'était devancée que par une demi-équipe supplémentaire : une première force et demie. I was told Hamilton was way quicker than Leclerc on the hard tyre stint but according to this only 3 laps from Hamilton were clearly faster The rest were around the same or slower (as slow as the medium stint) Leclerc managed pace superbly and was just coasting home 😮‍💨
