BREAKING NEWS: Cleveland Browns outside linebacker Vontae Mack has announced he is retiring. Mack spent 12 seasons in the league, mostly as a situational pass rusher in his rookie season, but then was relegated to special teams, where he played with his BFF, David GD Putney. Vontae was controversially selected six spots ahead of Bo Callahan, who went on to lead the Seattle Seahawks to three-straight Super Bowls and won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2018 after all his teammates finally went to his birthday party. Mack was taken by former Browns GM Sonny Weaver Jr., who unexpectedly stepped down after scandalous news broke out about inappropriate relations with a staff member.

Excited to announce I’ll be doing some individual and group lessons for football! If you have any younger kids who need something to do this spring or have a high school athlete who needs help with the next steps have them sign up for a session soon!

Something that I think coaches should put a larger emphasis on is teaching young players HOW to study film. A lot of guys are told to make sure they watch film, but they really have never been taught how to do it

Coaching is such a blessing man. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of pride that comes with watching kids you care about doing great things in life.

This is long overdue. Student athletes and coaches are asked to prepare and compete in the narrow margins outside the school day. Many times early before school or later into the evening. Stretching coaches and athletes thin. It can be done & is in Missouri, ask @nixaathletics

ATHLETES: Protect your mindset. One of the fastest ways to lose confidence is to listen to outside voices that drive you to blame, complain, and make excuses.

This is the question Sean McVay routinely reminds himself of to keep things in perspective. “Would you want to be coached by you?” Coaches spend enormous amounts of time evaluating others, but what I appreciate about this question is that it gently flips the mirror. Would you want to be led the way you lead? Would you want feedback delivered the way you deliver it? Would you want expectations communicated the way you communicate them? Would you feel trusted, supported, and challenged in the environment you create? And if the answer is no…what needs to shift?
