This lady deserves support not persecution from the local council Pensioner threatened with £2,500 fine for feeding 30 feral felines on an industrial estate - as business owners complain workers can't do their jobs and try to spray the cats with bleach

@greenwoodpecker @domdyer70 RSPCA is often useless, they refuse to stop fox hunts and people involved. It's a number of regional companies registered as charities now anyway. They have tried closing down the competition in a few areas.

@domdyer70 Where is the RSPCA when they are needed? Sterilization Is first priority. Rehoming where possible. Humans caused the misery for the cats yet show callous disregard and even cruelty. 🤬

@gowlos60 @domdyer70 @RSPCA_official Possibly the type of businesses that have relaxed checks? Which ones are involved, they deserve to be named. Would you want those employees near your home, pets, or even children? Who knows what they would like to do to them. It's a risk.

@domdyer70 Those busineses need to take a long, hard look at their employees. I'd certainly not employ anyone who thinks its ok to spray bleach on an animal. If it's the business owners, they need reporting & boycotting. Where is the @RSPCA_official in all this?

@bagshaw2112 I thought i was bad at DIY, that's awful. I took a whole wall of tiles down and did it again after being 5mm out on one side. I forgot to start in the middle!!!

@uknip247 Don't forget, the tag box in your house doesn't only read your own tag. They report back every other tag within range. It's a way to track people and record locations and associations. They have worked like this for many years! That data can be used by police.

@1337Djinny @IntCyberDigest I've heard it all now. People even went on a UK TV show, BBC Countryfile, to state "the countryside is racist". Probably the same people that thought up a national news story about car headlights "causing social exclusion for old people". Sadly, these people are allowed out!!!

❗️Essex police shut down their live facial recognition cameras because they were catching too many black people At the same time, they admitted the cameras rarely picked up anyone who wasn't already on the watchlist. The system was accurate. They just didn't like the results.

@IntCyberDigest Systems I have seen are extremely accurate in identifying people. Maybe they forgot to switch on the optional "appeasement mode". It's embarrassing as it shows @ukhomeoffice crime stats have been fiddled/not recorded correctly by custody staff for 25+ years. Needs investigating!

@chalkey1973 @MattyBeer A customer refusing to pay a workman is nothing to do with a bank refusing to allow a transfer before completing some security checks to try and prevent fraud. The bank staff don't know the customer or workman, or what agreement they have. That's why they check...

@MattyBeer Look at it this way then. He does the work doesn't take a deposit. Lays out up front for the materials. Works 3 days customers refuse to pay him. Who's getting scammed now. You book a holiday, pay a deposit to secure a holiday pay the balance b4 you go..what's the difference

A mate of mine who's a joiner priced a job up to supply and fit a full house of doors, told customers 50 % up front to cover materials. The rest on completion. Customers went to the Halifax bank in town today. Bank wouldn't transfer payment . Stating this could be fraud

@chalkey1973 @MattyBeer The bank staff don't know that straight away. If I worked in a bank and was so concerned, I would check companies house, Google the number, ask the company to give me payment details and confirm the invoice number. It would take 10mins. The customer would feel a lot safer.

@MattyBeer A scam. These people had my mate round to price up a job. Chose the doors and ironmongery agreed a price gave them an invoice and agreed to the payment terms. What part of this is a scam. He had a invoice with his full contact details on it and has his own website.

@chalkey1973 @santanderuk are really bad for stopping transfers. If you try to buy something online, send money from savings to current account, answer questions and say you have not seen the item in person, they lock the account. Absolute pain trying to help relatives with this. It took ages

@lizyeld @AAFAI_org @EmpowerInnocent If you look at it another way, evidence used to convict showed the man's actions caused 80 people to be injured (didn't one man die some time after?), people lost their homes and businesses, and the Area was destroyed. People think that's OK and to just be excused?

I am so sad to hear this. Truly awful and so sorry for all involved in this terrible loss. It was another serious miscarriage of justice and quite honestly the "justice system" is looking more like some sort of criminal enterprise right now. Disgraceful, appalling, shocking and more generally words fail me. What a dreadful time for Sonia and how vital her presence must have been to Pascal in the last months.

@lizyeld @AAFAI_org @EmpowerInnocent Interesting case. What evidence was ignored that showed it wasn't a deliberate act? Minutes before, the man had left the shop, cctv didn't show anyone else going in or out. Either he did it, as forensic evidence suggested, or he was extremely lucky to know when to leave...

@AAFAI_org @EmpowerInnocent Forensic evidence showed it was deliberate tampering. I watched one interview on @YouTube that mentioned @WirralCouncil was making deals with shops so they didn't pay Community Charge. What NEW evidence is now available to prove it wasn't deliberate - for insurance fraud?

@BlasioRobinson 80 people injured, some lost homes & businesses after a man in debt tampered with a gas supply in a shop, for insurance fraud. Forensic reports & CCTV showed it was deliberate. Cadent Gas was fined in their own case for not correctly investigating a gas smell reported beforehand.

@JamesP728 @Trading212 I would say @Trading212 or @InvestEngine for ETFs. If you're new, look at ETFs like ACWI, FWRG, even VUAG. Add your full allowance. Close the App, check in a year. Or add a set amount by DD each month. DO NOT listen to "experts" in the forums as many of them don't have a clue.

There’s now less than a month to fill your Stocks and Shares ISA allowance before the reset on the 6th April Now is the perfect time to open one and there are loads of amazing platforms you can use to get your investing journey started My platform of choice is @Trading212 but there are others, such as @freetrade and @eToro (most of these platforms have promos where you can get a free share so always use one before you sign up) For anyone that is unaware, Stocks and Shares ISAs are a tax efficient investing account, for 18+. It allows you to invest up to £20,000 each tax year (6th April - 5th April) and are completely tax free (capital gains and dividends) It amazes me but sadly doesn’t surprise me, that only 15% of people in the UK have a Stocks and Shares ISA. So many people aren’t taking advantage of this opportunity that other countries wish they could have You don’t need to have a huge amount either! You can start investing from as little as £1, and even these small contributions will compound over time Investing isn’t just for the rich! Happy investing everyone! 🫡
