Police Mediate Unusual ‘Cat Custody’ Dispute in Bengaluru Bengaluru In one of the more unusual interventions for the city’s patrol units, officers from the Seshadripuram Police Station in #Bengaluru were called to settle a neighborhood dispute triggered not by humans, but by their feline companions. The incident began when a local resident’s male #cat reportedly impregnated a neighbor’s female cat. Tensions escalated after the female cat gave birth to four #kittens. According to police, the owners of the female cat arrived at the neighbor’s doorstep carrying the kittens. They demanded that the male cat’s owners take full responsibility, insisting: “Since your cat is the father, you must raise these kittens yourselves.” The demand led to a heated verbal altercation between the two families, prompting a call to the police to prevent the “catfight” from turning physical. Upon arrival, the Hoysala officers found themselves in the role of domestic mediators. After pacifying both parties, the police reached a creative settlement to preserve neighborhood harmony: neither neighbor had to keep the kittens. Instead, the officers facilitated their transfer to a neutral third party, effectively resolving the dispute.

@DCP_ECITY @ecitytrfps @DCPECityBCP Still no action. This is the scene today. The encroachments still block the roads & footpaths. Pedestrians are on the road. There is always slow moving traffic or a jam situation here. Imagine the safety & mental health of school kids who have to spend hours here on the road.

Jayaraj kept his mobile shop open past 9pm during lockdown. Police came. Took him away. His son Bennix heard about it and rushed to the station to check on his father. They let him in. Then locked the door. Both were stripped. Tied down on a wooden table. Beaten with lathis every 10 minutes through the night. Their blood splattered the walls. The next morning police took them to a doctor who gave them a fitness certificate. Then to a magistrate who remanded them to jail without even looking at them properly. Bennix died on June 22. Jayaraj died on June 23. Yesterday a court found all 9 police officers guilty of murder. It took 6 years. Sentencing is on March 30. The FIR said Jayaraj and Bennix rolled on the ground and used obscene language. CCTV from the shop next door showed nothing of that sort happened. The case against them was completely fabricated. They died for a crime they never committed.

When 80 Minutes Wasn't Enough to Save a Life - This is so heartbreaking 💔 Yuvraj Mehta, 27, stood on his sinking car for nearly 80 minutes, screaming "Papa, save me. I don't want to die." His father heard him. Police saw him. Fire brigade arrived. SDRF came. NDRF joined. Everyone watched. Nobody entered the water. The reasons? Fog. Cold water. Iron rods below. Too dangerous, they said. A delivery boy tried saving him with a rope. He failed, but at least he tried. This unknown hero showed more courage than all the trained rescue teams combined. His car Grand Vitara had fallen into a 70-foot drain through a broken wall in Noida Sector 150 at around 12:20 AM. At 1:45 am, Yuvraj's screams stopped. He drowned just meters away from his helpless father and dozens of officials. Locals had complained about this dangerous spot many times before. The Noida Authority ignored them. Only after Yuvraj died did they finally dump debris there. This young techie was his family's only earning member after losing his mother two years ago. His retired father now sits alone, haunted by his son's last words. This is the India we live in... where help arrives but rescue doesn't. Where a delivery boy has more heart than entire rescue teams. Where we fix problems only after someone dies. Yuvraj deserved better. Every citizen deserves better. Yuvraj was from Noida and worked as a software engineer in Gurugram.

On my way to the ground in Delhi and my heart sank when I saw people feeding a whole army of pigeons. Doctors have been shouting from the rooftops about the dangers of inhaling pigeon droppings and the severe lung disease it could lead to. Please, let us stop feeding pigeons.

Many independents who contested the 2020 elections could be invited by #JSP to contest the upcoming elections. They represent around 10% of the votes polled in 2020. #PrashantKishor #PK

JDU=Nitish & Nitish=JDU. With no second line of leadership & Nitish’s health visibly fading, PK’s soft stance toward him could be strategic. As JDU voters sense the end of Nitish era, they might switch to #PK, once seen by Nitish himself as his “utaradhikari” #BiharElections2025

My take on how #PrashantKishore might be approaching the upcoming Bihar election The Mahagathbandhan holds a solid Yadav–Muslim base. With Muslims' mistrust in other/new parties & Yadavs loyal to RJD, PK may avoid wasting his calories on them entirely #PK #BiharElections2025

X is deeply concerned by the recent order from the Karnataka court in India, which will allow millions of police officers to issue arbitrary takedown orders through a secretive online portal called the Sahyog. This new regime has no basis in the law, circumvents Section 69A of the IT Act, violates Supreme Court rulings, and infringes Indian citizens’ constitutional rights to freedom of speech and expression. The Sahyog enables officers to order content removal based solely on allegations of “illegality,” without judicial review or due process for the speakers, and threatens platforms with criminal liability for non-compliance. X respects and complies with Indian law, but this order fails to address the core constitutional issues in our challenge and is inconsistent with the Bombay High Court's recent ruling that a similar regime was unconstitutional. We respectfully disagree with the view that we have no right to raise these concerns because of our incorporation abroad—X contributes significantly to public discourse in India and the voice of our users is at the heart of our platform. We will appeal this order to defend free expression.

Shocking: Modi’s “private” PM-CARES Fund collected ₹30,000 crores ($3.4 billion) in just 3 years In 2020, PM Modi announced his “PM CARES” Fund. The fund uses a website with a .gov domain & the national Emblem of India. Despite this, when RTIs were filed, PM CARES claimed it was a “private fund” & not a govt entity. Shockingly, PM CARES STOPPED publishing their account statements from 2023 (last 2 years). Now, using their own annual reports, PM CARES has received ₹30,000 crores ($3.4 billion) between 2020-2023. Just to give you a perspective, the amount received by PM CARES Fund in 3 years can 👉 fund 20 new AIIMS hospitals 👉 provide 1 Covid vaccine dose to ALL Indians (and still be left with ₹10,000 crores balance) Now consider this: 👉 Modi Govt borrowed ₹27,000 crores from foreign banks to pay for Covid-19 vaccination in India. This was IN ADDITION to money spent from our Budget 👉 The people of India are paying an annual interest of ₹1,500 crores on these foreign loans (EXCLUDING repayment of the actual amount) The question therefore is: 👉 WHY did the Modi Govt take foreign loans of ₹27,000 crores for Covid vaccines when PM CARES had ₹30,000 crores in its balance? It is also unclear how much money PM CARES has received in the last 2 years. Based on previous receipts, it can be safely assumed that PM CARES received ₹50,000 crores between 2020 till date. It is shocking that a ₹50,000 crore fund started by PM Modi which uses a govt website & national emblem is classified as a PRIVATE FUND. WHY DOES MODI NEED A ₹50,000 crore PRIVATE FUND?

I welcome today’s judgment of the Hon’ble #SupremeCourt, which has modified its earlier order of August 11 directing that all #StrayDogs be permanently sent to shelters. The Court has now clarified that, in #DelhiNCR residential areas, except for rabies-infected or aggressive dogs, strays that have been dewormed, sterilised, and duly vaccinated may be released back to their original locations. This decision brings immense relief to millions of animal lovers like me across the country. At the same time, I believe it is our collective responsibility as a society to ensure that children and the elderly are adequately protected from stray dog attacks. Together, we can ensure sustainable & harmonious living for all beings.
