When I lost my son, I was in a fog for weeks, nearly paralyzed with grief. To imagine that @RepRaskin has not just gotten up every day, but has done this master class in constitutional law, philosophy, logic, patriotism & more with eloquence, force, passion...My God. What a hero.

@NormOrnstein @RepRaskin I hear you Norm. I have been watching w/ my jaw dropping as I, too, lost a young son 6 yrs ago & it’s still with me every day. I am so sorry for your loss as I am for @RepRaskin’s loss of their Tommy. He is so incredibly brave. My husband died 7 months later from a broken heart💔

The "whites only" lunch counter of Woolworths was about to change. These 4 students were told they would not be served. Police were called, but the Greensboro 4 stayed until the store closed.
* Feb 2, 1960 — 25 more students from A&T and other colleges & universities joined them.

Y’all my dad been in jail since 97’. He got out and today he dropped me off some lunch at work❤️ Its minor to y’all but baby I felt like a kid. I used to wish my dad would bring me lunch to school 😢

@GodflyThe @hanorchwill What could possibly be the intent of such a nauseating statement other than to rain on the parade? Perhaps, to reinforce the idea that blacks are portrayed as murderers? Maybe to view all people in prison as guilty? How about to throw away the key as if people are disposable?

@favdanii I’m sooo sorry. I pray that God puts GOOD older men in your life that can be a father figure. Pour all that love for your father on someone that really needs it. Believe me, it helps. I have adopted a man in his 80’s who has no one.

Ur Dad is a HERO! call him today & tell him I said so! & thank him again. He knew education wld give u opportunity that a cell phone might block

@katerina0527 @EbonyJackin Ugh this made me tear up and cry. I always asked for my hardworking dad for a cellphone when I was younger and hed always say next time. He never bought me one, but he put me to college and used his name for some loans and I think that's way better than a phone.

@DJScottyFox ITS NOT UR FAULT. Know that ur Dad wld not want u to carry the burden of guilt AND of his incarceration. You have given yourself a life sentence w/o parole. STOP. Believe that is not the life ur Dad wld want 4 u. Pls Forgive ur self, him, mom too & LIVE in peace. Call me anytime

@EbonyJackin My dad went inside when I was just about a year old, He got out when I was 13. I refused to see him, and ignored anytime he tried to contact. He died a few years later, and I still carry that guilt. I'm glad you aren't making the same mistake I did.
